Original Review:I spend a lot of time in our backyard and having a solid thermometer and hygrometer helps a lot. We have a few indoor thermometers and hygrometers from the same brand and their accuracy is very nice. So we wanted to try this device. Overall it has almost everything you need from this kind of products.First of all it looks very professional. When you hold it in hands its very light and you might feel like a little cheap material but it definitely is not. Works either with battery or power. I keep the battery inside and plugged it. Just in case we loose power, it will keep the settings. Backlight is at low set if battery only operated. You can activate brightness for 10 seconds. If power operated you have high (%100), mid (%50) and low (%15) options or an Auto dim option. The outdoor sensor is battery operated and straight forward to use. You just have to match the A, B or C setting on the sensor and main unit.You have indoor and outdoor temperatures, humidity, date, time, moon phase, barometric pressure. It also shows 12-24 hour weather cast based on a self calibrating forecasting which uses a special algorithm to analyze changes in pressure over time. Not sure about it’s accuracy but will see in time.Using the settings is very easy and well explained in the handbook that comes with the unit. Also has trouble shooting which worked very well for me.I tested/compared the product with 3 different thermometer/hygrometer and with +\- 1-1.5 for temperature and +/- 4-5% humidity difference it is completely within the acceptable limits for me. Today we have little rain and the humidity shows nicely %80 which is very nice.The outdoor sensor is water resistant (haven’t tried it under rain) but not sure it will be safe to leave it outside to an open area. The battery case might catch rain and will be harmful for the batteries It’s recommended to protect from direct weather elements. I just put it under a bird house on a tree to protect from direct sun and rain.Overall I am happy with my purchase. Will see how long it will keep working without issues

This is working well, and love the display. A couple people complained about it not being readable depending on angle, but this hasn't been an issue for me. Yes, it is a little fainter if I'm looking up at it, but still easy to see. Happy with purchase.

Like the information given, and the fact that its accurate out of the box (though it can be calibrated). The display is bright, colorful and attractive, and the information is displayed in an easy-to-read fashion.Needing a power cord is a bit of a pain and subtracts from the appeal of this device if attached to a wall. I also do not like the fact that there is only one attachment point for mounting on the wall. It doesn't feel very secure and I'm still trying to figure out how to secure the bottom of the frame so it is firmly in place on the wall. All-in-all, however, its very nice and we enjoy looking at it every day.

Well, this may be late with posting but this unit (I have 3 total) is truly "accurate" with detecting the temperature, humidity, and forecasting the current weather at my location. Including predicting impending weather changes. I also purchased the Accurite Sheild to protect the transmitter unit (located outside) during all weather conditions. Both items are easy to install, and setup is fast! But most importantly it assists me with planning and executing my days outdoor work projects which need to be completed. I live at the edge of a lake in a rural mountainous area, so temps are regularly 5-10 degrees colder or warmer depending upon the season. I also operate a dog "no kill" rescue/sanctuary and it is a 24/7-365 project; so accurate forecasting is a must caring for the fur-babies here. The price is perfect and amazing that it can do so much to help me (and the rescues at the sanctuary). I highly recommend anyone who lives on acreage in rural areas to purchase this unit...especially farmers and ranchers. You will not be disappointed!

This thing works great. All i could have wanted in a home weather station. Easy to read, very colorful and attractive.I have another non color Accurite weather station, and it still works fine, but this is a nice upgrade.

Very pleased with this purchase. Easy to set up. Lots of info on the screen, which is not too big. Good size for a desk. Indoor temp, outdoor, barometer, moon phase etc

This is my 3rd weather station from Acu-Rite, and I've only had this monitor for 14 months. The LCD screen is the problem. Right now, I really can't tell the temp or the humidity (or day/date) because the LCD numbers have lost some of their bars. It is a great monitor for the first 12 months--easy to set up, easy to read, colorful.....but, then it becomes a frustration.
