Q: Hi! how much clearance does it require? i mean the width of the opening where the door slides into.thank you!

Depends on the track your using. If your asking about how much space it takes up when the door is in the pocket it’s about an inch. If your asking how wide the opening has to be that depends on the doors. You buy the pocket door tracks based on the width of the door. If you want the door to totally go in the cabinet cavity and not stick out you need a track 4” longer than your door is wide. Just be sure you have the inside cabinet depth clearance for that depth track. The rule of thumb is for every track length take off 4” and that’s the depth of pocket travel. So if you purchase an 18” pocket door track you will only get 14” of pocket travel.

Great slider

Great slider, good quality and price. Very easy to install, but the instructions are not great (if you haven't installed pocket doors or sliders it may be difficult for you the first time).

Defective, no customer service, NO REFUND

Zero stars. The written directions and illustrations are extraordinarily poor. There are no YouTube videos demonstrating installation. I called customer service and emailed with no reply. Turns out, the reason I was having so much difficulty is that the paired slides are defective; they're not built the same way with one hinge mechanism soldered much higher on the slide than the other one. AND THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. BUYER BEWARE ON ALL KNAPE & VOGT PRODUCTS. $67 and hours wasted.
