Perfect for summer — makes shaved ice in minutes
I bought this machine in May 2023, and since then it has become a must-have every summer at home. It’s super easy and quick to use, perfect for making shaved ice when the weather is hot. My family constantly asks me to make some during the summer, and it’s never failed me.What I love is that you can use both the included molds and regular ice cubes from any tray — and sometimes, it even works better with ice from other molds. It’s been reliable from day one with no issues at all.The size is also perfect. It doesn’t take up too much space in the kitchen, so I don’t have to keep storing and taking it out. Honestly, if I ever move out, I’d definitely buy another one for myself and leave this one for my family.

explain the bad reviews, and tell you how to get perfect ...
I'm going to review the product, explain the bad reviews, and tell you how to get perfect shaved ice if you decide to buy this product.I looked around, read a lot of reviews, and did a lot of research before buying this guy. It was the ONLY one I saw producing fine shaved ice in a YT video. Then I came to read the reviews and found a lot of people complaining about crunchy ice. That is because the blade is extremely sharp when you get it and it requires some technique before you break it in. I also saw some bad reviews complaining about it breaking down in a month - but it comes with a 1 year warranty. This product simply spins ice over a blade... the rest is up to the handler. Shaving ice isn't a complicated art but it isn't as easy as pushing a button either. You have to balance pressure with the sharpness of your blade. Here is what you need to know:1) Chill anything that will come into contact with the shaved ice. Otherwise the first layer will melt, then get frozen by the next layer and you will have a layer of ice chips on the bottom. I suggest freezing a large bowl that barely fits under the motor to catch the fluffy snow, then using a cold spatula or something to pack it into the cone or chilled cup.2) Instead of waiting for the small puck to sweat, smear the size you 're going to start shaving with ice-cold water over and over until it stops freezing over and remains glossy. The glossiness is important in getting the action started without chips. Waiting too long for it sweat means your snow will melt quicker too.3) Ideally use pure water like RO, DI, or distilled water for the puck.4) Don't drop your puck on the blade, set it upside down on the motor and let it stick to the teeth, then slide your stand upside down on the motor, then flip the 2 right-side up together. That way you don't accidentally chip or loosen your blade.5) When your blade is sharp, pushing the button down is going to put too much force on the ice causing it to get cut into small pieces like a snowcone. For shaved ice, grab the motor housing with both hands and use your thumbs to press the button so you get full control over the amount of pressure you put on the puck. Put very little pressure on the puck and wait for a thin sheet of WHITE snow to come out. You will need to practice, but by being patient you will create white fluffly snow instead of chunky ice. Over time as the blade dulls you can put more and more pressure and produce shaved/snowy ice faster and faster. This is the main ingredient to a fluffy shaved ice as opposed to a crunchy snow cone.6) You have to pack down your snow to hold the syrup. Keep in mind when packing down the stuff at the top, you're putting pressure and packing down the stuff at the bottom further. So compensate by packing the bottom less and increasing pressure as you go up or prepacking the snow at the top. This takes practice!

Great shaved ice machine for over 10 yrs
I've been using this type of shaver for over 10 yrs. It's a great machine. There's minimal pressure that needs to be applied, to get the snow-type ice. I have had repeated problems with it not working. I change the blade, the motor works, but it won't shave. Their customer service is working with me now to find a solution. I use it everyday, year-round. It's just the best way to get a shaved ice at home. I'll update when a resolution to the issue final.

job pretty well
In my opinion this product is only good for 2 or 3 people because its only have 2 silicone. It crushes like a snow texture however, before getting this texture you need to stop like every 5 seconds maybe. Also, you need to hold the shaver tight so its not going to move. But overall it does the job pretty well.

Love this thing!!
It works best for me if I pour the grape juice or Kool-Aid directly into the ice cup cop mold and freeze it and then run the ice puck thru the machine. Its wonderful to be able to enjoy snow cones here at Home and make as many as I want. The only thing that restrains me is having to wait 10 hours for the liquid to freeze into an ice puck and thats good because otherwise I would probably eat 10 snow cones per day (just by myself). These things are addictive.I was wasting so much money buying ice pops at the supermarket or buying Slurpees at 7-ELEVEN but this machine satisfies the same craving for sweet frozen treats.THe Kool-Aid is cheap but those snow comes are not as good as using REAL fruit juice because they taste watered down in comparison to Grape Juice. I look forward to trying it with Apple Juice and Orange Juice. Have only owned the machine for a week but I am already eating 4 ice pucks per day and these are a real treat to have when I get home from work. The machine is not too loud and it chops up the ice very fast, about 15 seconds. It does leave behind a 1/4 inch ring of ice at the bottom but I just put that in the empty mold to use for the next batch so there is zero waste.I will probably wear the machine out if I keep using it so often and I wonder if they sell replacement blades for when the blade gets dull. But the machine is under $40 so its a great bargain even if it only lasts me 90 days.Highly recommended and less calories than eating ice cream.
