If you like fruit cake (and I do) this very good. They freeze and defrost well. Bought a case and gave out a few and froze the rest. Break one out ever once in a while, out of the holiday season when they’re not available. A nice treat.

I love Fruitcake! Traditional, with jellies in it, or soaked in rhum or whiskey! I like the dark more than the light, but I won’t refuse it. I didn’t get any homemade Fruitcake this holiday season 😔 and still had a craving for it. I especially like it toasted, topped with lovely real butter, alongside 2 yolky eggs and bacon (or sausage, or blood pudding)! That’s how much I Love it!Anyway, I came across an article (or something) that highly recommended this brand. I found it on Amazon, but hesitated for a bit before purchasing bc I thought it was rather pricey. Eventually, my desire outweighed my logic and I ordered the sampler which included both light & dark loaves, totaling a pound. It was so uneventful!! It didn’t shout out grandma’s recipe, or anything. It was so unimpressive, it brought me to the ingredients list!! Argh! Such unhealthy, unnecessary filler foods!! Never again! Plus, the long thin sampler loaves are impossible to do anything more with them than sample bites, and if you like it warm like I do, you’re going to need a tray for that. And, weirdly, they recommend serving it cold. What?! Not for me, sorry.
