One size doesn’t always fit all.

The wrap is warm. However, the wrap has no contour. It is not made for someone who has a small leg. Although I am an adult, my weight is 114. I had to tape the wrap to my pants to get it to stay in place. The knee cap hole is very small.I have always loved other Thermacare products, however this one needs a redesign.

Not hot enough

The ONLY good thing about this wrap is the proven warmth of the heat cells and the 8+hours of relieving comfort they provide. But they do not fit well at all. The heated part doesn't conform well to the knee shape and there is NO ADHESIVE...big mistake. There is a bit of velcro on the end of each of the bands that are meant to go around the leg to hold it in place. They do have a small section which stretches, but, for me, the top has to be stretched TIGHT in order to reach, which then cuts into my leg; the bottom one is too large & loose to hold it securely to the leg. This does NOT stay in place when you walk or even move. I couldn't even doctor it to stay by adding medical tape. I had very high hopes for this product and I am so disappointed that I will not be buying these wraps again. I'm going to see if I can use the last 3 for other areas because this cost far too much to use only one of the four and throw away. No, without a major redesign, I do not recommend these as they are now. Don't waste your money.

This is the first time I've used a dedicated knee heating pad. I was very surprised by the design, which was much easier to handle than other ThermaCare heat wraps! However, I found that since my legs are rather small, I had a difficult time getting it to stay where I wanted. It did work fine while doing desk work at the office, though.Overall, it lasted a long time, but the heat was just a gentle warmth. It did not get nearly as hot as I hoped or expected. On the plus side, it is not hot enough that I am worried about it burning my skin. And, I don't need to remove it if it gets too hot, because it just stays a constant warmth.

Works really well. My mom is 93 and has trouble with her knees. Heats up fast and gives her a lot of relief.

ThermaCare Knee Heat Wraps in theory sound fantastic until I actually used them. The order includes two boxes which each hold two individually wrapped knee wraps. Once I opened the individual packet, the manufacturer noted that it "may take up to 30 minutes to reach the therapeutic temperature." The single-use wrap has specific instructions including to not to be worn when sleeping, to not place extra pressure over the product such as wearing under tight clothing or leaning against hard surfaces, and to check your skin frequently when wearing as it can cause burns. I was surprised to see that the manufacturer had also provided specific instructions for individuals over the age of 55 who plan to use this product. They stated to wear the ThermaCare over a towel or cloth such as a washcloth and not directly against your skin. They also stated that if you have diabetes, poor circulation, heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, or are pregnant, that you should ask your doctor before you use it. The first issue that I encountered was when I first attached it to my knee. When I attached the Velcro-like strap, I found that even though it was secure the wrap had an odd fit and would slide down frequently and require constant adjusting and pulling up. When I walked, it felt like it was floating on the top and the bottom portion was continuously scratching against my skin. It was only when I was sitting with my knee bent and raised was it comfortable to wear. It took about 25 minutes to reach the ideal heat which was pleasant and surprisingly was hot enough to cause my skin to feel noticeably warmer where the darker sections were. It was able to stay warm the entire 8 hours as advertised. The product that I received has a best by date of 32 months from the date that I received it. While it helped provide a warm heat without limiting my mobility as I would have experienced when using a heating pad, I found that the fit and flexibility are specifics that need improvement

Especially in colder, wet areas, these are a godsend. Sometimes you don't have time to sit down with a heating pad and wait for it to soothe your affected areas so you just need to slap on some painrelief and heat patches like these and get back to it. For older folks who are more susceptible to rainy and cold weather, these will immediately help soothe your pains and discomfort without having to expend additional effort to set anything up. It's an essential item along the lines of chapstick, pain relief patches, and bandages. Just know that while these will help, they're not a cure-all so adjust expectations accordingly.
