I lost power for 8 days last summer with the hurricane so I was checking out fans to prepare for this season. I plugged this one in to top off the charge as the instructions say then ran it for over 24 hours. Most of the time I had it on speed 1 but I had it on speed 2 WITH the light on for 4 hours of that time. I know it ran 24 hours and it was still on after that but I fell asleep so unsure exactly how long over 24 hours it ran. Next I tested the solar charger. It charged to 50% in 3 1/2 hours in direct sun....which should give about 12 hours of fan life. Since I am testing for hurricane weather, I am more concerned with getting enough charge to make it through the next day than actually getting a full charge. But I will be seeing how long it takes to get a full charge next. If it takes more than 7 hours I will update my review. I like that the fan is covered well so fingers won't touch the blades by accident. The light is really bright on the low setting and super bright on the high. This fan is much bigger than the other personal fans I have but it is about the same weight. It folds nice and has a hook for hanging. I will be purchasing more so everyone in the house has one and this may be Christmas presents for family to put in their hurricane kits.

What I love most is the fact that I can charge it using the solar panel so I will never have to worry about not having access to a plug/usb port. I set it up outside in the sunlight, and the battery charged at a decent rate. The fan ran for mor than 7 hours on the highest speed, which was pretty impressive. This is perfect for my emergency (hurricane preparedness) supply kit in preperation of the long time locations may not have power to run indoor fan or air conditioning. On top of being self charging the fan is surprisingly quiet. I’ve used it while working in my home office, and it doesn't distract me at all, just a gentle hum that keeps the air flowing.

The first one I purchased was used to cool a 4'x8' chicken coop at the end of an uncomfortably warm day. The two-hour timer works well for really hot days, giving the birds relief as they go to roost panting. I found myself "borrowing" it to use the light for outdoor night work, weeding, watering, and such. Then I purchased a second one, so I'd have a clean one for indoor home use. The fan is quiet enough to get a couple hours sleep. It's great for nights that start out too warm but turn cool in a couple hours. I was able to postpone using my A/C for a few weeks, which saved enough to pay for for BOTH fans. The light is useful for cleaning dark closets and other awkward places. If I ever get around to going camping, I'll just buy a third one.

I had this for a while but only used it twice and now it won't charge or turn on.Update: I contacted the company and they were very responsive and sent me a new fan.

This portable solar fan is awesome. Made by innopower and ordered through Amazon. Price is perfect! I ordered to keep my kitties outside cool while eating and to keep flies away. I have no outside outlet, so this was my answer. It's chargeable inside with included charger or charges by the sun. I could also charge my phone on it if power goes out. It has an awesome bright light too if needed. It takes awhile to charge but lasted 8 -10 hrs on fan low speed. I'll try it by the pool too! Love it!

I love this little fan. I use it for my dogs at dog shows. Everyone has Ryobi fans, but I was looking for a more affordable alternative. I love that it is solar powered, so no need to worry about the battery running out. You can also charge it with a USB charger. The LED lights are also handy in case of a power outage at home. It also has a place to charge your phone.I will be buying more in the future.

Been using this solar fan for a bit now and it works really well. The airflow is pretty good and comparable to my old rechargeable fan that is much bigger (it broke) . I use it indoors while on my computer at night and it gives a nice breeze without being too loud. The solar charger is somewhat slow but it actually works, and in California sun, it takes a few hours to charge 25% so it's great to have it as a backup power source for outages or in the field. I think I could even get away with only charging through the solar panel. Overall I'm very happy with the product and would buy again.
