The Launch X431 Pro TT is a terrific benefit/cost OBD2 scanner!
Both the look and capabilities of this OBD2 scanner are very impressive. It comes in 2 separate cases: one for the device, VCI, and cables and the other for the OBD1 connectors. The device itself seems pretty solid, is well protected all around, and is packed with a built-in battery that lasts a really long time before needing to be recharged. I also like the solid case that comes with the device and should keep it protected throughout its lifetime. More importantly, the scanner includes a VCI with red/green/blue indicator light that connects wirelessly to the device/tablet and allows you to be as far away as 30 ft or so. This device is pretty fast compared to other OBD2 scanners and is packed with a lot of troubleshooting features. You will first need to update the device and create an account; then you will need to register the scanner using the information in the black card that comes with the manual. After that, it will be easier for you to run diagnostic tests for your specific vehicle. When you run a health test, the device shows the overall state of your vehicle and pinpoints each specific issue with details; it also contains a lot of resources that can help you with troubleshooting the issues right within the device. The scanner has an Info Center with many tips and a Technology Handbook with step by step instructions, images, service manual diagrams for some vehicle types. The findings are automatically saved as a report; and there is also a “Diagnostic History” section that contains all the vehicles that you have diagnosed with the scanner. This device comes with 2-year free updates and will continue to retain the same functionality as of the last update if you elect not to update after that. One thing I noticed is that it is better to access the special functions needed directly within the vehicle make and model that you are troubleshooting (Local Diagnose). One feature I like about this scanner is that there is a banner in red on the top showing you the state/voltage of your car battery (very neat). I was able to see that my battery that is going on its 5th year is not at its peak. While this scanner seems a little pricey at first, you will quickly realize that it is worth every penny once you start using it or after taking a trip to a repair shop for a MIL diagnostic and/or repair estimate. If you don’t own a shop, why would you want a device like that? Well, it can provide almost the same level of troubleshooting that a dealer scanner will provide, saving you a lot of money in diagnostic fees. Because it is bi-directional, you can perform simple actuation tests for your windows, horn, locks, lights, sunroof, fuel pump, solenoids, etc. that can help you determine if you have a wiring or actuator problem. This device can perform an Evap test and let you know right in there if your solenoids are working properly. There are a lot of other simple tests that would amount to hundreds of dollars fee that this scanner can perform without the need for any advanced knowledge or skills in car repair. I also checked the basic matching key function for my vehicle and the device shows that it is capable of adding or removing keys and program remotes. I also looked at many sensors in my vehicle and was able to graph and compare them. The device also shows the normal range for each parameter/sensor (depending on your vehicle) that was checked and lets you know if it is operating as it should. I was able to do all this without any advanced knowledge in the trade as the scanner simply and easily walks me through the different steps. When accessing special functions, I would advise people with limited skills to take time to read the pop ups and follow them instead of clicking OK for everything. If you are a DIY enthusiast, you will be excited to find out all the things you can do yourself once you have this scanner. If you own a shop, this tool can definitely help with most of your vehicle diagnostics and its portability/mobility can be a plus when performing actuation tests for parts located in the back or under the vehicle. While I wish that the manufacturer would have provided more years with free updates (5-year free updates would be fair in my opinion), I am nevertheless happy that the device will retain its functionality as of the last update after the free 2-year that it comes with. It would have also been very nice for a scanner that size/weight to come with a stand in the back. When not in use, I will make sure to keep the device in the hard case that it cane with and ensure that it lasts a long time. So far, I have used this scanner on 4 separate vehicles (Toyota, Honda (2), and GM); I do not have anything bad to say about the performance of the device for now. I will continue using it and try it on different make and models to see how it holds. Not sure if this is important or not, but I looked for one-touch I/M readiness (not Intelligent Diagnose) throughout the scanner and could not easily find one. I will make sure to update this review if I encounter any major flaws with the scanner. At the time of this review, my ratings are based on: look/presentation (5/5), functionality (4.5/5), ease of use (5/5), price/affordability (4/5), updates (4/5), durability (5/5), long term cost savings (5/5). Based on my personal experience, the overall rating of this OBD3 scanner will fall anywhere between a 4.5 - 5 out of 5. I figured that I will break even after maybe 4-5 good diagnostics or even a couple of P0420 (Evap code) that can be hard to diagnose and end up being costly at a repair facility, but my hope is to be able to keep this device for a very long time.

Found the best gift
I bought this for my husband on his birthday and he absolutely loves it. The unit came very well packaged and is quality built. The setup was a breeze and ready to use within few minutes. One option he really liked was the bidirectional feature on the unit as it will help him to control and tune his car to his liking. Overall this is a well made product with much flexibility and being universal.

Quick bidirectional scanner with alot of feature
As I pull this scanner out of the box. Notice it came in a big box. Reason for that was because there was two carrying cases for this scanner. One is for the scanner and vci and the other one for other adapters that work on other cars and trucks. I have used the Honda 3 pin adapter on a 95 Honda civic without a OBD2 port and it still show alot of data. Very helpful when you want to look at data on this older(was new you me) cars. The vci is wireless, so you can look at stuff while under the car or if the car is up on the lift. Was helpful when I was adjusting the fluid on nissan sentra and making sure the right amount of cvt fluid is in the transmission at the right temperature and after that reset the transmission cvt deterioration.Another good feature of this scanner tool is bidirectional control when testing fans to see if they turn on and checking the power and ground so you can tell if the there is control by the ecm and not waiting for the car to get to temp to see if the fans turn on.The graphing was fast when I was checking for catalytic converter effiency and see if the rear o2 was switching after I warm up the car to see if the catalytic converter was still good.If any does any programming this scanner does have the function to save data so you cam save configuration data, switch out the module and install the new part.

Good Diagnostic Tool
The LAUNCH X431 Pro TT 5.0 Elite is a powerful and reliable scanner. It offers fast and accurate diagnostics, bidirectional control, ECU coding, and broad vehicle coverage, including 2025 models. The interface is user-friendly, and the build quality is solid. It has saved me time and money by identifying issues before going to a mechanic. Highly recommended for both professionals and DIYers.

Amazing scan tool with lots of functions, but one little caveat
I use this tool on a daily basis and I couldn't be happier. I work mainly on European cars and what's amazing is that there is a special function section where the most commonly used programming or reset functions are already put together. Things like battery exchange registration, resetting adaptation values or simiple service resets. There is not much you won't be able to do with this tool. The only grievance I have is that there is no topology available, which I have found in cheaper tools.

Excellent value!!
This scanner is very powerful for the money. To all those who say buy it from a US based company, you won't have near the same capabilities. It's not as polished as an Autel or Snap on as in it won't always walk you through procedures but it will do OE level stuff that they wont.

Lousy
All this product is good for is the bi-directional operation. I read in the description that it can program keys. I contacted support and they stated I have to purchase a separate tool accessory, which was NOT mentioned in the description. Technical support is broken english. Buy from a local parts store that sells these on the USA side. Do NOT buy this China garbage. I'll be returning mine.

Functions same as older v+
I like launch products it just that this model doesn't do any more than my 2020 v+ and it has a smaller screen
