Worked well for reading DTC from Jaguar XE Diesel
It worked really well - read & cleared DTC on Jaguar XE. Connected from iPhone using the Car Scanner app.

Simple and effective
Used with my old 54 plate Toyota Yaris. Was able to extract code to diagnose faulty cylinder one coil pack and replace within hours.... priceless. Can only extract engine fault codes with the various free apps out there...for other car components like ABS or alarm system you'd need software suitable for your make/model.Can leave connected permanently to your odb port as it turns itself off after half an hour - so wherever you are you can diagnose any problems with your phone.

Easy to use, straight out the box!
Purchased the vGate to code some additional features to my BMW 5 series F10. Pulled it out the box, straight into the OBD2 port and pressed the on button. Instantly showed up on my iPhone! No dropouts, successfully coded the car several times with no issues. Great product for a great price.

Kind of worked butt not for long.
After being plugger in over night it does not have the wake up feature it says. You turn the car on and it’s stays on standby. You have to push the button to connect to it. Easy to use no because of the drip outs.After about 3 weeks however it has just stopped working at all. No lights on the front and no WiFi signal. So tried it on another two cars and nothing at all. Now having to message the seller.

Works great with Carly
Originally bought to work with BimmerCode on iOS but realised my E92 isn't compatible (me not reading the list of compatible cars first) so then I decided I'll purchase Carly for BMW and order the proper Carly wifi adapter. However when I was waiting for it to be delivered from Germany I thought I'd try this with Carly and hey presto it works perfectly! No connection issues (iPhone 7, iOS 10.3.3 at time of writing this). I was able to do many things but specifically change the rear lights to LED as I upgraded them to the LCI versions. Highly recommend this dongle and Carly if you have a BMW.

Works well most of the time
Works well apart from the occasional loss of OBD connection, which ruins it for me as far as live data is concerned.

Quality
Fantastic product. Been using mine for 3 years problem free, mainly use it for Bimmercode and Bimmerlink. Works spot on for coding and error checking/resetting, fast wifi speed. Can also be used for a number of other apps. Strongly recommend see pics.

Item comes with an app but only 4 things work on the app unless you go to paid version
