Comfortable and Well-Made Ice Skates – Great for Beginners
I bought the Jackson Ultima SoftSkate for recreational skating, and they have been a fantastic choice. The padding inside makes them very comfortable, so I didn’t experience the usual stiffness or discomfort that comes with breaking in new skates. The support around the ankle is great, providing stability without feeling too rigid. The blades come pre-sharpened and glide smoothly on the ice, making them perfect for beginners or casual skaters. They also look stylish with the classic design. If you’re looking for a high-quality, comfortable pair of figure skates for yourself or your child, these are definitely worth considering!

Perfect ice skates
The media could not be loaded. I have a foot size 8,5 and I ordered first size 9 and it's too big. But size of ice skates 8 is perfect!Blade sharp! They are cozy and warm!

Great skates!
First off, skates in general seem to run large yet narrow. I wear a 9.5 shoe, regular width. (In shoes that don't have half-sizes, I wear a 10.) With skates, I have what are considered to be wide feet. (This is a common shoe-to-skate conversion: having normal-width shoes but needing wide-width skates.)At any rate, I just want to help people with sizing. I ordered these skates in a 9, and they fit perfectly with a nice pair of cushy, thick socks. I knew, based on my experience with skates, that the 10s would be too big. The 9s are great. I hope this is helpful info!I love these skates! They came sharpened in a way that is great for my somewhat-beginner skating. They're pretty with the purple, and I love the silver detailing. They feel good on my feet and have more support than I thought a beginner skate would have (albeit, I am a beginning skater). The only flaw is that the upper sides (where the metal lace-holders are) are bent out too wide. This is readily fixed by tightening your laces extra tight. I'm not sure if the flimsy white/purple laces that came with these skates would be up to it, but I use my own laces anyway. If you get thick hockey laces like I use, they help keep your skates tightened. (I don't know of any skate on the market that comes with substantial laces, so I'm hesitant to remove a star for it.) For these skates, I'd recommend using 108" hockey laces, which come in many pretty colors.

Great Skates from a Great Company
A friend of mine wanted some better ice skates than she had and had told me she wanted a pair of Jackson's. I dont know very much about ice skating but she told me that this company makes some of the best skates on the market for the price. So I got them for her so that they would be both a Christmas and Birthday gift as her Birthday is in December. From what she has told me, the skates are great. There were some other things I bought her to complete the setup but this was the most important thing. After she had them for awhile, she dyed them in this pretty light blue color as she didnt really like the white color. Since she lives in Washington State there are a couple of Skating rinks she can go to there and shes utilized both. It will be a year that shes had them come Dec 2024.UPDATE: Shes actually looking into buying another pair of Jackson's but a different kind that are a bit more expensive. These are more of the professional ones as the ones we got are great skates but they are more for practicing or learning and not really meant for competitions or shows.

A little dirty upon arrival, but not enough to send back
I’m deducting one star, because they were a little dirty upon arrival (as seen in the pic), but not bad enough to go through the trouble of sending them back. (I feel like they may have been a sample pair or a return, as they have obviously been at least tried on already.) After trying them on, they do fit very nicely. I am normally a size 8.5/9 tennis shoe, so after ready the review I bought a size 8. Even with thick socks on, they fit perfectly. They feel much more comfortable than rental skates, however I have thick legs and fat ankles, so the tongue and sides barely close fully around my large calves. Also, I’ve ordered longer laces as the ones they come with don’t lace all the way to the top hook (they lace to the second to last hook up). They also dig into my right calf enough that I know they will be uncomfortable to skate for long periods of time in, but I’m hoping I’ll wear them in. They also will need to be sharpened. I am a beginner and these are my first pair of skates I have owned myself.

Comfort
I love the comfort of these boots and the quality. I usually wear a 10 but went down into a size 9. They fit perfectly. If you have wide foot, keep to the size that you are.Love these skates.

Size
Bought for an 3,6 years old toddler.Should be 2 size bigger from the regular shoes size. Figure skates size 10, the regular shoes size 8. So I bought 2 size bigger to match the current regular shoe size. That model doesn’t have wide option. A little bit tight inside for wide feet. Look pretty.
