Excellent for what it is
Good for testing a HiFi if you have a signal analyzer. The markings on the frequency knob are at best approximate.I use it for checking out speakers after repairing them by replacing coils, cones, or suspensions. It's a great tool if you are trying to check out a mechanical speaker buzz or with a good microphone to match speakers or get real life frequency response with a waveform analyzer. The waveform looks fine on an oscilloscope with the expected hash at low frequencies and the roll-off at high frequencies.A friend used it to figure out what frequency annoyed some pigeons nesting in his eaves.A nice feature is that this has a self contained 110VAC 60 Hz powersupply. No wall wart!

Nice generator!
Does the job nicely!

It puts out signal, but…
Wow this is cheaply made and not precise at all. I should have spent a bit more money and gotten something good.

Works ok for sine wave, low accuracy
The shape of the sine wave is nice and simple to vary. The lowest it will go is 11.5 Hz and the highest is 980 kHz, not the 10 Hz to 1MHz indicated but the manual says to expect up to 3% error. The dial is very low accuracy, and you can't jump from 100 Hz to 1000 Hz and etc when the dial is fixed, instead it will jump from 100 to 1040 for example. It's fairly low power, wish it could put out more amps. The attenuator very quickly drops the load to imperceptible levels, wish it had a positive amplifier and not just negative. The square wave form is not good. Hopefully this helps others decide if it fits their needs.

Solidly-Built Signal Generator at a Great Price
Just got this and tested it over its frequency range (10Hz - 1MHz) with a 600 ohm load. Output was a very clean sine wave, 8 - 9V pk - pk, at all frequencies, declining from about 9V at the low end of each decade range to about 8V at the high end (e.g., from 1KHz to 10KHz). The step attenuator is very precise. The unit is built solidly and won't slide around on the test bench. Dial calibration is not perfect but OK for an analog device. An actual dial pointer would have been helpful. It is hard to see what use the SYNC input might be. An improvement would be to ditch the SYNC input and add a constant-amplitude, high-impedance second output for an external frequency meter. There is a 110V/220V power switch on the back which is perilously easy to switch with just a fingernail. Setting it accidentally to 110V and plugging it into 220V would probably blow the unit to Kingdom Come. Minor complaints, though, this is a well-designed unit at a great price.

Nice compact
Great little unit for DIY'ER or hobbyist. Not a lab grade unit but meets expectations for the price point

Works great to quiet noisy dogs. You train the dog if your neighbor refuses.
works great to shut up noisy dogs. You obviously need a 100 watt or more amplifier and some great tweeters.I use a radio frequency 400 foot range remote control to switch it on and off to train my neighbors dogs and itworks fantastic (LIKE MAGIC). above 14000 hz your neighbor probably can not hear it but the dog will.It is not illegal either.

Poor construction and design.
I returned unopened after seeing a tear down of unit.Amazon warned that this is often returned.
