Don’t be scared, the smell is not bad as reported by others. This shampoo saved my sanity! My scalp was so itchy I felt like I was going to go crazy. This shampoo really helped. If you’re expecting a product that completely gets rid of the itching this isn’t it. But if you’re expecting a product that gives some relief at least temporarily, this is going to work for you. Summer heat brings lots of sweat and an itchy scalp. Wearing a cap to keep my hair out of my eyes exacerbates the problem. This is the first, really effective shampoo for my problem, which has almost diappeared after only 4 washes! Though it is pricey, it's well worth the expenditure. TU Neutrogena!

I had an itchy scalp for ages. After trying many other products, I was able to heal by switching to Neutrogena Scalp Therapy Shampoo and Neutrogena Healthy Scalp Conditioner. It took a while but after about 3 weeks of using these products, and no other hair products, my scalp no longer itches. I now add a little coconut oil, in addition to the Neutrogena products, after towel drying my hair. This gives it a little extra sheen and control. Just soften a little coconut oil by rubbing your hands together. And use your fingers to spread it into your hair.

I had a itchy scalp. No dandruff, No lice. My dr looked at ot, said it looked red and angry. I tried other products then found this one. On the first use I left it on several minutes afterassaging it into scalp. I did not find the scent strong or offensive, I am very sensitive to smells. I rinsed it throughly. I used a leave in conditioner hairdresser recommended and let it air dry. My hair was soft and very shiny! For the first night in months scalp did not itch. It was heaven! Highly recommended. Will buy again if this holds up.

I got this to help with my itchy scalp. Used it twice, and both times the next day, my head itched more than before I shampooed it. So I got a different brand from Amazon, costing much less, and the problem was solved. Just proves that because it costs more, it does not mean something will work for all people.

I don't have dandruff but I do have an itchy scalp (I just have head to toe dry skin). This shampoo has helped a bit (not a miracle product) but the 5 stars is because it has drastically reduced how much hair I shed. I have very thick and coarse hair and was just used to shedding a ton whenever I wash my hair. I use one of those hair catchers for the drain and that thing was usually covered with my dark hair. Then when I put in my leave in hair products, I would have another mound of hair come out into my hands. Soon after I started using this shampoo, the shedding is down my at least 60%. Crazy. For that reason, I give this 5 stars.
