I would reccommend this product to anyone who has an immune system that needs help. I bought this originally for my pregnant daughter in law in case she caught the bird flu as an alternative to getting injections. She didn't use it so I used it for a cold and it blitzed the cold in 18 hrs!!! Got the childrens one for my grandson aged 2 and its worked for him too. He didn't like the taste (don't know why I tink its good) so we watched Peppa Pig programme where they all take horrible cough medicine that tastes like smelly socks and he thinks its great to be taking the same thing!!!! Important point is that it works.

I use this to enhance my immunity. Some years I make my own but didn't have any this year and wanted to take it regularly because of the pandemic. It tastes great. I will definitely buy it again.

Extremely costly to use as recommended. It recommends 10mls four times a day in winter, that's 40ml a day, and there is only 120 ml in a bottle, so at that dose, the bottle lasts THREE days! So only intend to use it if I catch a cold or flu.As I use the Prevention of Common Colds and Inluenza homeopathic remedy which is available from Nelson's or Weleda Homeopathic Pharmacies each winter anyway, which costs with p and p less than £16 for a more than six months supply.

I've taken sambucol many times and I do seem to get better quickly. The problem is the price so I made my own. Elderberies are cheap and it doesn't take long to make a syrup. Just chuck the dried berries in a pan and add sugar and water. Boil until half the liquid is gone. Then pour it into a sterile bottle or jar. You can buy a good reusable air tight jar on Amazon and still make a saving.

I have been purchasing Sambucol for many years in Greece, this product tastes very bitter and not sweet at all like the one I normally purchase ... I’m not sure if the bitter taste is meant to be there as it tastes completely different in Greece. This almost tastes expired. I think the product maybe defective.
