LocknLock Airtight Cake Carrier with Handle - Square Cake Storage Container with 4 sided Lockable Lid, Clear/Blue, 12.6 L Cake Box

I recently ordered a celebration cake for a milestone birthday and the instructions said ‘store in an airtight container’.As usual Amazon came to the rescue.This LocknLock cake container is strong and robust, it is made of quality odourless plastic, the top is opaque but the sides are see through. The locks on the side make the container airtight and secure, the blue click down locks fit firmly and I need to use both hands to click down to open.There is a handle on the lid which makes the container easy to transport, the handle is firmly fitted so I had no worries of it becoming detached mid transfer.It might just be me but the handle on the lid reminds me of a smiley face (see photo) and always makes me cheerful.Good value for money and in view of the quality should last for years, highly recommended.

Great size, easy to carry, practical and air tight. The tabs to open and close it are easy to use. It’s large so you will need to think where you wish to store it.

Sadly my cake eating days are behind me - I bought one of these to use as a cat-proof evaporation chamber to "Retrobright" my consoles in instead, using a combination of hydrogen peroxide and heat.Was surprised by how good the quality of the carrier was overall - very thick and durable plastic, with a thick airtight seal. So good I bought a second one afterwards, which allowed me to treat twice as many parts at the same time. They've also been very useful for storing loose consoles in when they need to be stacked on shelves.

It's hard to get an idea of the size and dimensions of this box online, especially with the coloured paper inserts shown. It is in fact a useful size being neither too big nor to small. It does seem a little high but maybe not if you make a large decorated cake which I haven't yetIt's made of very good quality plastic and is very sturdy. It has two strong locks to close it. It says its machine washable but I haven't done that yet as some plastics go pink in the dishwasher and I don't want that. I would love to know if anyone has found that. I washed it by hand and there were little nooks and crannies where water lurks that was fiddly to dry, mainly around the locks either side.It has a strong carry handle that folds flat. There is a dial on the top to show how old the cake inside is, it's almost invisible to see or read and not really useful as you could accidently knock it to another date but its an option. Inside it has a removal plastic cake support tray with vented slats. It looks good and I would recommend it

Regularly used and still working well

The build of the product is very robust, as you'd expect for the price. It was everything I was hoping it would be.The thing oozes quality, very thick plastic, sturdy feel about it and aesthetically it looks smart and professional. Locks securely and tight which ultimately is its sole purpose.Decent size and the cooling rack type base is handy too as it can be difficult to cut cake whilst in the case and the base makes getting the cake in and out simple.If I absolutely had to change one thing it would be to make it an inch or so taller, most cakes I have made are fine, but if you have intricate icing or decorations with much height, you need to account for the size of the box and the fact the handle fixture goes slightly into the box void and this takes away some space in the centre.Regardless, an excellent product, one I do not regret purchasing and has been used many times.

This is just what I needed! After a panic when I realised my usual cake box wouldn't be big enough for the decorated cake I was making, I turned to Amazon. Found this item and wasn't sure from the description and reviews if it would be big enough. However, as it was available for delivery the next day I went ahead and ordered it. It holds my stacked and decorated 8 inch cake comfortably, which is on a 10 inch cake board. As the base is like a tray, it is deceiving how tall this box actually is. There is a slight recess in the lid for the handle and that is the only downside. Otherwise this cake box is sturdy, good strong clips to close to make airtight and has a removable tray in the base to make it easier to put your cake in or take it out. Everything I needed!

I had this box before. After many years the handles broke and I never replaced the box. But each time I needed to store a cake I missed it because its height is such that after displaying the cake on the cake stand, it can still cover the cake and prevent dryness. Other boxes are not this high. I finally bought it again. It is a Must-have in your kitchen.
