Q: What is battery life of led lamp at 100%. 1st time i used mine, the brighness at 100% dimmed to 40% in about 5min

Nice light comfortable and bright. Battery life is not that good. @ 100% you will notice a big drop in brightness in about 8min. 20% runs about 5min and then lights out.

Q: does this have red light?

Does not have a red light. LIght is probably 3500/4000 K color temp I'd guess.

Q: when you turn it off then back on, does it remember the last brightness setting you had it on, or do you need to re-cycle through each option?

You have to cycle through each time. It resets back to the beginning.

Q: How do you turn on the side flashlight?

Press Power Button 3x quickly. 1st - Full Strip 2nd - 40% of Full Strip 3rd - Side Light 4th - 40% Side Light 5th Press - Off.

Rubber quality feels cheap but Brightness is awesome for the price and the strap is Little bit tricky u have to adjust it few times to get a snugg fitWeight is very light and its somehow comfortable but didn't know the battery backup yet maybe it will run 60 mins on high.
