well made little utility hoof knife

I surprised my husband with this knife after he told me he was using a left-handed hoof knife, even though he is right-handed. I liked the reviews I read and also liked that it was a German blade. I’ve had great luck with German blades of all kinds in the past. I highly recommend this product for its quality and value!!

Just got this as a cheap experiment. I've read a lot about not being able to sharpen it, and I had no trouble getting a good edge on this knife. I doubt it will hold, but in the next week I'll shoe several of my own and see if it holds an edge. I have to admit when it came it was so dull I couldn't cut a thing with it. The edge in the hook was completely rounded. It had literally not even been ground to a dull edge. If you're buying this to use, I'd spend the money and get a decent knife. I like to buy this cheap stuff to tinker with it and see how the metal responds, but that is not advised if you depend on your gear and this is your only option.

This is a horrible misrepresentation of a hoof knife. What I received is extremely thin with no curve just a sharp bend in middle of knife. Terrible steel... made in China of cheap stainless not German by any way shape or form. I won't use this knife to cut strings on hay bales at that put it to a horses foot... wish I had paid more attention to reviews. I never write a review... In fact this is my first one, so this knife was really bad to prompt me to want to tell everyone how horrible it was. Should have known better for money, but didn't think I would receive the cheap plastic piece of crap I got.
