Great basic airgun (or firearm) scope
Optical quality (sharpness, contrast, flare resistance) is excellent, as is overall build quality. If all you need is a fixed 4X for daytime use, it's really hard to go wrong with this, especially at the asking price!

Great scope for my purpose
I searched for a fixed 4x scope for use on a Henry frontier long barrel .22 to rival the Bushnell scopechief that I had back in the 1970's and found nothing similar currently produced. Until I discovered this Hawke 4x32. Perfect match for my use at moderate range for target shooting and plinking. Bright clear view, good eye relief, and seemingly excellent quality. I've been to the range twice so far.....once to sight in and once just for fun.......I am really happy with this scope. At this price point, I don't believe one could do better!

Good features, solid value, repeatable and consistently holds zero.
The good:Scope was clear enough with good light transmission. It’s good value at the price point. The turrets have an adjustable zero, the AO works from 9 yards to infinity.I found the radicle to be easy to see, fine enough for very precise shooting, but did not get lost when covering dark targets. I have not tested the accuracy of the measurements. It’s odd to have a mill dot reticle calibrated for 10x on a scope that only goes up to 9x.The turrets have a tactile detent at each click, and the adjustment was spot on, and tracked and return to zero well. It took 1 shot to zero. Adjusted cross hairs to point of impact and it’s spot on.The bad.The zoom and adjustment is very stiff. It’s not practical to adjust either while looking through the scope. It take a significant, but not ridiculous about of force move either.Recoil seems to be less than the 3.5” when on higher magnification. Not tested:Recoil durability. I have this installed in a .25 PCP with negligible recoil. May be a little heavy for a 3x9, I don’t really care. Air rifle is like 13 lbs already.Edit: After about a month. It’s very susceptible to being knocked off zero by bumps. Have it leaned up against a tree and it falls over? Guarantee the zero is off. Hand pump fall over onto the PCP? There went the zero. I checked that the rings and base are torqued to spec. I suspect it’s a characteristic of the scope.

Great scope and company
Update:I'm not sure if the problem was with my gun or the scope I originally purchased but Hawke has a lifetime warranty on their scopes and they replaced mine. They were very easy and great to deal with and the scope has been dead on.I would recommend the scope and the company as well. I had a problem and they took great care of me.Thank youOriginal review:I've seen a few reviews that mirror my experience. I bought this scope as an upgrade to my Gamo spring air rifle. I sighted it in and and was hitting almost everything I was shooting at. And the misses were obviously me. I was very impressed. Then after a month of so and maybe 100 rounds, I couldn't hit anything. I set up to resight the scope but was unable to do it. Dialed in on bullseye, the scope was shooting in a 2-3" spread at 20 yards and totally inconsistent from shot to shot.Maybe I just got a bad one, but my scope is a piece of crap. Other's have had this experience so beware.

Best budget scope there is
Put this on my Diana Stormrider 22 PCP and the scope is clear tracks perfectly and was easy to dial in. It’s held zero with no issues and for the money it beats most scopes in this price range. Hawk is a very good scope for the Price. When I referred to tracking I mean the scope stays aligned when turning the turret up or down or side to side and returned back to zero. Allot of scopes do not track straight threw adjustments and are a nightmare to figure out. Hawk has done a good job with crosshairs being aligned correctly. Glass is clear and the turret dials have no wobble or play in them. Solid scope for the money. Also I bought the mill dot version and highly recommend over conventional single crosshairs. Hawk is the best Scope dollar for dollar compared to other brands in the same price range. I’ve had allot of budget scopes that were junk garbage but Hawk makes a very good scope that just works as it should so don’t hesitate to buy from them.
