good book for people to learn solid works
I found this book easy to follow. I have prior cad experience which helps. If you have no prior cad experienceit may be more difficult to learn from any book. I do feel though that this book does break it down to as simple as it can. it covers the user interface and menu's which is important to new users to grasp first.

this is a good starting point
Solidworks 2020 is not the most straight forward software,I have found this book very useful for figuring out how to get my work done

Not the best but it helps!
The book is good for beginners . Somethings are missing or lead you in the wrong direction but overall it's ok for starting off.

Poor Explanation,.....No author and no Index...This book was written by John Doe...Don't buy
Poor Explanation on just about every exercise. Takes a long time to figure out how to do each exercise. Also settings in the beginning like units and other things before each exercise is not specified which makes it difficult when you get to dimensioning. Many times I had to start an exercise over again and again in order to work based on the explanation of this book. I learn a lot more things faster on Youtube then this book. My recommendation, very simple, don't buy it.

Not Great
Black and white illustrations not great. Menu tree illustrations are illegible. Can be difficult to follow instructions, menu items not necessarily as depicted. Maybe update from 2018 to 2020 is not complete. Not clear how to correct mistakes, to the extent of constantly restarting each exercise. Hopefully there is a better tutorial our there.

Useless
A technical book without an index is likes house without a roof — useless. This book has no index.
