Just in time for class
The school offered free online access, but I really prefer dead trees. This is just what I needed and it came just in time. It's a few years older than the current edition, but still pretty good. The illustrations are fine and the text makes the concepts easy to understand.

This was a great book thoroughly updated by one of the greats in Seo, I couldn't wait to buy this book on its release date so I purchased it a week before on the Kindle the previous version to this one is an industry standard so I couldn't wait for the release of this book. Yes you are going to find a lot of the same information all over the Internet but when you purchase a book or a study course what you were purchasing is the privilege of having all of the information in one place if you don't already I highly recommend following Eric on YouTube as their page has a ton of information. When I purchased the book the link didn't work I don't know if it's because I purchased it way before it's released date but besides that the book is the on YouTube as their page has a ton of information. When I purchased the book the link didn't work I don't know if it's because I purchased it way before it's released date but besides that the book is a gem!

The definitive SEO textbook
This is the definitive SEO textbook. Written by some of the industry giants, it covers everything you would ever want to know about SEO with helpful screenshots to illustrate key points. Reading the entire book is daunting, but even skimming the subheadings can yield lots of great ideas. I highly recommend it for anyone undertaking a large scale SEO project.

Ok. Nothing new.
I had high expectations for this. And it is thorough. But it's a pain to sort out what is useful and what isn't. Maybe that's more frustrating with the kindle version. But it could have used a better edit and less jargon. Or at least a better title. It's more like an encyclopedia of SEO techniques with some marketing/sales concepts mixed in. I just started learning about SEO a few months ago. But nothing new is in here. Though its good to have everything in one place and get past the sensationalism of an SEO marketer trying to promote themselves with catchy blog titles. And the extra stuff is annoying. There's a table in the beginning saying that internet users are wealthier. Really!? Thanks for sharing. But I don't know who doesn't use the internet these days. And I imagine they skew towards the poor side.

Jeffrey Anthony, Synaptic Reviews, "The Art of SEO"
Indispensable. It is rigorous and comprehensive, but at the same time accessible. Why bother to have a web site if it's not going to rank well on SERPs. This book lays out everything you need to do to make that happen. We constantly review it not only to rank near the top of Google results, but to stay there.Jeffrey Anthony, Synaptic

Extensive
The most extensive SEO book on the market. Slightly oudated already, but can still offer the basic foundation of SEO knowledge for a beginner SEO.
