I purchased this book for my Confirmation class in my parish. The features of this Bible are outstanding for teens.Inside the Live Bibles, there are a number of features that will make these Bibles applicable, readable, and relevant to the life of teens today.The Live Bible is the New Revised Standard Version, which is fully approved for study by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, and yes, the Apocrypha is included!Material from teens who have written reflections, taken pictures, written poems or drawn pictures are placed throughout this Bible. These are voices from today's teen generation speaking in these pages.This Bible has a flip feature as well. If you flip through the pages, you will see listed on the bottom right and left corners the name of the book as well as the chapter of the book you are in on that page. That makes getting around the Bible a little easier and a little faster.There is "Creative Space" in these Bibles. This is where teens can take notes, write down reflections, or draw. This is their space to make this particular Bible their own.This Bible has "Real Questions" from teens, along with answers for reflection.This Bible will challenge you to put your faith into action with "Try This" segments.The "Reality Check" features are there to make sure we're applying the Bible and our Church's teachings to our daily lives.The "Profiles of Faith" are people, living and dead, who have gone before us in faith, giving us an example to follow.The "Jesus Sightings" are where Jesus crops up outside of the Gospels. These are especially good as you trace the Messianic prophecies throughout the Old Testament.If you want to know more about why Catholics celebrate the Sacraments or where things come from that we do at Mass, check out the "It's Tradition" feature.At the back of the book, we have a "Where to Turn" section. When your emotions are bubbling over, you can go here to read what the Bible has to say about your situation.Finally, there is a Concordance. This is the way that you can look up a verse without knowing where it is. If you want to know what the Bible says about "love" for example, just find the listing for "love" and read the verses it lists.I am thoroughly satisfied with this Bible for Catholic teens. I would just like to say that this is an excellent bible not only for teens, but college students and adults, as well! I am a college student and was looking for a bible that was right for me. I had been told that, "When God points you in the right direction, you'll know." Well, I had been going around in circle for over a year and had no luck...Then, one night I just typed in Live bible(in reference to the Protestant edition) and I saw the same cover as the one my boyfriend owns, but in blue. Then, I read that it was the Catholic edition! I was shocked! I really liked my boyfriends's bible but his just wasn't for me. This one, however, was. I looked at the product details, read through the description, and checked the prices and shipping. Everything seemed in order, and I was ready to make a purchase. I was shocked to see that the price of the one I wanted was under ten dollars(I had ordered a used copy, but it came like new! There were a few passages, and I really only mean a few, underlined, but that doesn't make a difference)!I got it within a week, and was amazed at the quality of it! There were no tears on the pages or cover, and everything was intact. There were a few pages that were bent, but I simply flattened them out by putting somehting heavy on top of it. No problem there.I really was amazed that I found the right bible for me! I read it a lot, and make notes in my personal journal and on the sides. The text is large enough to see and it is easy to understand. There is a lot of interesting supplementaty information on different religious figures in the Catholic faith, explanation of different traditions, different works submitted by teens, and much more. This bible reflects my style, but most importantly my faith. I truly believe that God pointed me in the right direction, and I would not change a thing about my wonderful bible! I fully recommend this for boys, girls, youth, students, adults, and anyone wanting to grow in their faith with God! It makes for a wonderful study bible and has helped me out during many bible-study sessions, so if you feel like this is the bible for you, then GO FOR IT and GOD BLESS!!!

I am a college student who has always wanted to study the bible, but always felt it too intimidating. I looked for months for a bible that might suit my Catholic background and my inexperience with the scripture, and I stumbled across this one online and had a good feeling. Once receiving it, that feeling increased. This bible is modern and fun, and the extra passages really help me in understanding the scripture. The student work that is included is wonderful, and unlike other bibles, I never feel overwhelmed with the text. The book and paper is of good quality, and I don't have a problem annotating. I love this bible and highly recommend it.

Very helpful for studying

I didn't like the tabs for the books all being in the same place on each page. Some of the text is very difficult to read against the blue background. I returned it and ordered The Catholic Youth Bible instead. See that review.

Attractive cover. An intelligent lay out with 'text message' style notes which it says readers may forward to friends, for example, biblical context and facts. Ordered as a used item. Almost perfect condition as if 96% new. I'm very pleased with this product.

Really love all the real life practical stuff inside. I’m not a youth, but I’m going through RCIA and this edition has helped me reflect deeply. Recommend it!
