Ranch dressing is popular in America...in Texas we love it on our chips instead of ketchup or vinegar. Paul Newman's version found on British shelves is an altered version made to cater to the British love of vinegar. This packet (following the instructions to use sour cream) is what Ranch dressing taste's like in AMERICA. No sign of vinegar. Nothing wrong with vinegar but if you use a lot of it in Ranch Dressing then you don't have Ranch Dressing.- From a Southern American

A very tasty dip, easy to prepare
I was introduced to this dip in the USA. It was a great favourite at many parties. It is tasty, easy to prepare and great with veggies and crackers etc.

Quite expensive for what it is but very tasty
I used this to make a dressing for an american layered salad. It comes as a dry powder and I mixed it with mayonnaise soured cream (or crème fraiche or yoghurt) and some grated cheese. very rich but quite delicious.

Easy to make. stores easily in cupboard in case of unexpected guests. Makes enough for a family meal and absolutely delicious especially with buttermilk instead of sour cream.
