I didn't buy this for conventional use.We have a pack of 5 wild dogs that run through the woods and onto our property. Both my husband and I on two separate occasions have been bluff charged by one member of the pack, while the rest stand and wait. I think it would have been a full attack if each time if we had not stood our ground. The reason we were both caught in that predicament is because of the blind spots in our yard. Since the dogs run through the side yard, we didn't see them coming when leaving the house and were stuck in the middle between the front door and the car.We live in a remote area and the property is large, so a fence is out of the question. We live in the Southern US, so we have other wildlife out here such as; deer, panthers, bears, alligators, coyotes you-name-it. The most concerning to me is the wild dogs because the other animals have not bothered us, but the mirrors are still good to avoid any other incidents.For fire safety, remember NOT to place the mirrors in direct sunlight.For bird safety, do not place in their flight path. The good thing about this convex mirror is that it’s not a hard surface and it depresses on touch, so if a bird does hit it, it shouldn’t kill it.I bought two mirrors and they are a good, big size and work great for distance placement. The package comes with the mirror, attached sun visor and hardware but no pole. I wasn’t crazy about the screaming orange color, so I spray painted it espresso brown (non-gloss). The color helped it blend more into the environment. If you do paint it, then leave the protective film on it until finished because the film does a beautiful job of keeping the paint off the mirror.For the pole, I used a PVC pipe but was unable to find an exact match of a pipe to fit the hardware, so I also used a 1-1/2-inch PVC single connector and put in on the top of the pipe because that is really the size needed for the hardware. For stability, I poured concrete in a metal bucket, so it could be buried or stay above ground to be moved. The mirror and pole will eventually become part of a garden or such so it won’t stick out as much (still working that one out). The other one I put in the bushes.Check the pictures because I probably do not have the names of these items correct. If this mirror is to be used for street use, then a metal pole is needed. The mirror picture is angled to remove me out of it. 😊I’m happy with this purchase and it has certainly done what it was intended to. I feel safer walking out my front door knowing I can avoid a confrontation.

This mirror is small in size, high domed, and made of plastic. All of these things lead to an almost unusable image. Do yourself a favor and find a glass 24-26 inch mirror. The image difference is day and night... especially if you are viewing through a windshield. Shop Zoro 26" blind spot mirror.

Looks like a very sturdy outdoor mirror. Have not installed it yet.

Not bad for the price does everything it’s supposed to do ! A little small in my opinion so next time I’ll order a bigger one . The material of the lens is really thin so if it pops out it’s a headache to get back to the original shape . Other than that very satisfied with this product
