I own all of Ann Byrn's books: The Cake Mix Doctor, The Chocolate Cake Mix Doctor, Cupcakes from the Cake Doctor and the Dinner Doctor. I purchased this book and The Dinner Doctor as wedding shower gifts. These books are awesome if you are a busy mom and you don't have alot of time to spare. These shortcuts are simple and easy, yet the end product is tasty & delicious. People think you spent hours in the kitchen and that the food is made from scratch. This book includes chapters on cupcakes with class, for kids with some cute ideas on how to decorate cupcakes, celebrations, muffins, other types of desserts made in cupcake pans and even a chapter on frostings and icings. It even includes themed party menu ideas. It's a must for class moms and bake sales.

i have bought the cake doctors' two other books and found them to be really great i have used her recipes many times and all received positive feedback, so i was happy to see a cupcake book its chuck full of recipes , frosting and decorating ideas, i gave it 5 stars because its a good book but you can only go so far with cupcakes and i have other books with finished product pictures, that also include lots of helpful hints. if your just getting into the cupcake making its a great book but if your looking for more than the basics keep looking

Just like the rest of the Cake Doctor series, the results are awesome! My wife loves this book as it provides simple recipes to result in great cupcakes. The difficulty of each recipe varies. Some a barely different than the original cake mix, others do take a bit more work. All results are great though. I tend to be a little picky with cakes/cupcakes, but I wouldn't hesitate to try anything that came from this cookbook.

I have her original book. If you’re looking for good themed cupcakes buy it. However the recipes are not basic that you can build on. Disappointing

I checked this book out several times from my local library oodles of years ago, and made many of the cupcake recipes then. So when I had the opportunity to purchase it I did, and am very happy and pleased. The condition was described as "Used, Very Good" but were it not for the library stickers it would look brand new!! I already marked a few of the delicious recipes to bake, this is an excellent cookbook.

No he hecho muchas recetas pero estoy encantada, da unas ideas muy buenas de preparación y decoración. Al final incluso trae unas plantillas.

Good ideas except you cannot get vanilla angel delight which seems to be the equivalent of the American named vanilla mix

Lots of interesting tips for using a cake mix as a starter. Very happy with the quality and content of this book.
