I like the look, feel and smell of this pencil case. It is big enough for a 8 pencils and perhaps a small sharpener or a pen. The only suggestion I might have for you is this: I would make an identical case except I would make it 1 or 2 inches taller because this is such a great (and stylish) pencil case that I would see people who use art pencils and musicians who use Blackwing pencils wanting this case. Those pencils are taller than regular #2 pencils. So, I love the case, but my erasers on my Blackwing pencils stick out the top of the case by 1/2 inch. They will fit perfect as I use them, but it is just a suggestion. Thanks again for the great pencil case it is a beautiful work of art and I love the fact it is guarantied for 101 years

This is the 2nd purchase I made of H&D products and I really love their leather and craftmanship. The price for such quality is also great and doesn't break the bank. With a 101 year warranty, their pieces will outlive me!I was searching for a pen/tool roll to hold my embroidery/crafting scissors and this fit the bill perfectly. Many of the rolls are made for pens and the pockets are too tall. The rolls made for small tools are too large for my needs. This is the perfect size, rolls up nicely and I can throw into my bag with ease. LOVE IT!

I just got this and was very impressed with the product. I love the color and the craftsmanship. It is much better than I expected. My biggest concern was if it would hold my pens. It does and does it well. I like the flap to protect the pens and I can roll it up to carry in my briefcase. I will definitely consider Hide and Drink for additional products. This will be around for a long time and I am sure it will age well.

I bought this for a person who collects pens and takes them everywhere he goes. He said it will fit his quill pens if he removes the nibs, and easily fits calligraphy markers and other types of pens as well. This is high quality, and has that natural leather smell, because it's just that... Real leather.

I was surprised by how good it looks and feels. I use it for small tools. It has a very nice genuine leather feel and smell, hard to describe but I can’t recommend this enough. I just wish you guys changed the name or didn’t print it on your goods 😅 Because for gifts or even when people see a wallet or tool bag you own, “Hide and drink” may send the wrong message.

I'm an HVAC technician. I have a multitude of Test Lead probe heads form my digital multi-meter, each of which with their own uses. I use about 4 of them on a regular basis. I have been using basically a plastic sandwich bag to hold them plus the leads for a while now. Needless to say, it sucked having to do that, as they're... sharp. They poke a hole in the bag, and they get all jumbled up so its hard to take them in and out of the pouch from time to time, and its hard to get the bag into the specific pocket in my tool bag that I keep them in. For a while, I had been looking for a roll pouch to keep them in, with little success. Anything I found was either made of vinyl, very low rated, or just did not fit the purpose in any way.And then I found this, and decided to give it a shot as I was about to buy the leather and tools to make the damn thing myself.Match. Made. In. Heaven. The pocket on the end is perfect size for the leads after coiling them up. The first pocket to the left is the perfect fit for the primary probe heads. The middle is perfect for the flexible grabbers, and the one closest to the pocket fits both the heavy piercing probes I use for female spades. The 3 main test probes I use all fit perfectly. You can understand that MAYBE, I'm a bit biased as its very rare that I find a "multipurpose" roll that's PERFECT for the intended use. Take that with a grain of salt.Now lets talk about the product as it is. Its made of thick full grain leather. That's important. The thick leather will do a really good job of protecting whatever you put in it, and protecting other stuff from whatever you put in it, too. Its also very... supple? The leather is sturdy, but not stiff. Tough, but not hard. Suffice it to say, the material is of good quality.Now craftsmanship. The stitching is tight. The cuts are precise. There aren't any ragged edges and it all lines up the way its supposed to. The leather itself is tanned well(I have no idea if the company tans its own leather or locally sources it, just a remark). The interior pockets are of decent size and will hold items without holding too tight, or being so loose that it will just fall out. The flap at the top is of sufficient size, and even if the tool you're putting in there is a little bulky, it still rolls in just fine.As a whole, this item has exceeded my expectations. I would give it a 5 star, except for one minor detail. The loop they have in the product pictures, that's holding the Apple ear-buds? To me, it LOOKED like it had a snap on one of the ends. Maybe I just didn't get a good look at it. But it doesn't have a snap. I thought it did have a snap. Call me Petty.Craftsmanship: 5 starsSturdiness: 5 starsDurability: 5 stars for now(caveat is I haven't had it for very long so I may come back and edit this later down the road).Overall: 4 stars because I'm petty and not having a snap on that loop is the only thing I could find fault in with the product itself. Maybe they could add a picture looking into that pocket showing both ends of that loop is riveted?

I just received this item today so I'm going to give it 5 stars but I will amend the review within the next 6 months if I have any problems. That being said this is really nice. Heavy thick quality leather. great craftsmanship. seems to be durable. excellent value for the money. Highly recommended

I wish the roll had more functional pockets. If the overall dimensions were just slightly bigger, it would be better. The leather smells nice. I think this will patina well over time. The leather is however on the thinner side and I am curious how that will play out. Odd company name, Hide & drink? Lol. All in all, this is an ok pencil roll.
