Bought to add an mp3 input to a 04 Mazda 6.I didn't think I would use the USB drive function but I tried it and was impressed enough to keep on using it.The stereo's CD controls (including the steering wheel controls) will allow you to change tracks but note this is only for your folders on a USB stick or SD card. You can't control a device plugged into the minijack input.Sound quality seems fine, as least as good as the CD player I think.The stereo display doesn't show the track names (at least not on my Mazda 6 head unit) which doesn't bother me but some may be dissappointed if you're expecting that. It just shows the folder number as EX1-9 then wraps back around to zero if you have more than 9 folders and the track number 1-99.I think this is due to the fact the unit is pretending to be an external multi-loader CD.Check your vehicle's compatibility as some need the stereo to be slightly modified as mine did.I knew I would have to modify my stereo by soldering a link onto the circuit board which was straightforward enough but if you're not comfortable doing a bit of basic soldering it may be worth looking for a different option (AUXMOD from America if you can get it).Once the stereo had been modified fitting was straightforward.In reality any mp3 option for this era Mazda 6 needs you to remove the stereo (which was straightforward) so again if you're not comfortable with that kind of thing you may be stuck (or have to pay an Auto Electrician).Once out you just need to plug in a cable.Overall, well worth it as I don't want to carry CD's anymore (it is 2014 after all).Basic but it does what it says on the tin!

I purchased this product as my 2007 Mazda 6 does not have an MP3 player or a multi CD player. This is a great product. I have tried out 8 folders ( the instructions say that it can go up to 99 folders but I am yet to verify that). Each folder can play more than 100 songs - only quirk is that since it uses a two character display for the song number, the counter recycles after 99.Installation: I have a right hand drive car so I did not need to take the audio system head unit out. If you look at the rear diagram of the head unit, the desired connector is towards the right of unit at the back. So I took the glove box out and spent about 15 minutes trying to put the connector in. It is not very easy as there is not a lot of space and the antenna connector gets in the way and you have to put it in by touch only. But it saves a lot of effort from taking out the head unit. ( For a left hand drive car you would most likely need to take out the unit.Use: It is activated by the CD button on the head unit. Pressing once will active your normal CD player, press it again to activate your MP3 player and so on. You can flip folders using the normal controls on your head unit or steering wheel. The song quality is similar to a CD player.I think this is an especially good unit to install if you do not have MP3 / multi CD player capability in your car and want to play lots of songs without changing CDs every one hour.

The product is well made and it works good with my RX8 Bose stereo sometimes it stops working I don't know why but it seems to be doing that when I accelerate to red and also you have to be a bit passionate with it but overall it's a good product if you don't have any other options and for the money it's okay maybe on a different car it's not gonna do the same but it does it on mine

Apparently it's compatible with Mazda RX8 2007, it doesn't work. The car is fine, the radio in the car is perfect, the device ;USB,MP3 AUX CD changer doesn't work

Works just fine for my mazda 6 2003 2.0TS.I had to take off car player and solder L716 jumper on it! The rest was quite easy.Have more advantages than i expected.Can read 10 folders named CD01, CD02, CD03..... CD1099 tracks in each folder.Rewinding works!One more thing. If you don't know code for your player, just enter wrong code 3 times and err apears on the screen. I have a 2004 Rx8 fitting it was simple, just follow you tube to dismantle the car. Great product although sound could be a better as I found that its not anywhere as good as my bose Ex. But that aside its perfect for my needs and all fully controllable via the steering wheel controls.

Can anyone help me? I installed mine and bought the additional bluertooth adapter. That all works brilliant, but when adding music to my usb, it will only read 6 albums/folders and two of thos come up as EXT 2:I had 14 folders on at first and on startup it flashes EXT 8: 99but folder 8 doesnt have 99 songs! none of them do. i cant get it to play any more than 6 albums......

It works well. After connect to the radio, it was able to play the MP3s. Some MP3 weren't recognized, but that was just wrong encoded and wrongly named.

Kann mich nicht beschweren. Wenn man sich, was den USB Stick angeht, an die Benennung der Ordnernamen und deren Anzahl hält funktioniert es einwandfrei. Das Radio weiß halt nicht das es sich um einen USB Stick handelt sondern denkt es sei ein CD-Wechsler mit riesigen CDs^^Aber das springen von Titel zu Titel sowie das spulen innerhalb eines Titels funktioniert prima und reagiert promt ohne eine nennenswerte Verzögerung. - Sehr gut umgesetzt.ID3Tags/Dateinamen werden nicht ans Radio übermittelt, ka ob das bei anderen Modellen geht, aber da meins nicht mal CDText unterstützt wüsste es wahrscheinlich nicht mal etwas mit den Informationen an zu fangen :).Aber wenn man sich daran gewöhnt hat und weiß in welchem Ordner(also Virtueller CD) sich das Lied der Begierde befindet ist das auch kein Problem mehr.Die Installation war eine Sache von 6-7Minuten, jedenfalls in meinem Mazda6 Bj2006. Musste nur das Handschuhfach aushängen. Ein ausbau des Radios oder gar der Mittelkonsole war nicht notwendig. Riesige Hände und Wurstfinger als auch menschen mit empfindlicher Haut/-Schmerzempfinden werden um einen Ausbau des Radios aber wohl nicht herum kommen. Funziona perfettamente e la qualità audio è superiore a quella del lettore CD originale ad un prezzo irrisorio.Una volta montata è completamente invisibile (non ci sono cavi o lettori in giro). Esiste anche la versione con bluetoothE' un'interfaccia che si collega all'autoradio originale della vettura utilizzando la presa del carica CD esterno (posta sul retro dell'autoradio stessa). Inserendo una chiave USB o scheda SD su cui si trovano brani MP3 e possibile riprodurli come se fossero traccie del lettore CD originale. I comandi al volante o sul cruscotto funzionano come per il lettore CD. L'interfaccia è dotata anche di una presa aux a cui è possibile collegare l'uscita cuffie/line out di un qualsiasi lettore MP3/smartphone.I vantaggi sono: segnale HI-FI digitale (lo stesso del CD), entrata USB/SD/aux, facilità di installazione.Per l'installazione occorre smontare la plancia autoradio per poter collegare il cavo alla presa posteriore - in internet è pieno di video e guide per ogni modello. Normalmente il cavo lo si fa arrivare (dal retro del cruscotto) al cassetto portaoggetti dove si ripone l'interfaccia (che è una scatoletta in plastica/metallo 7x5x1).Nota tecnica: funziona anche con Mazda6sw 1°serie 2003-2005 anche se si deve eseguire il ponticello L716Il prodotto è ben imballato, completo di accessori ed istruzioni, e mi è stato consegnato con la solita efficienza e gratuità di AMAZON

Ich muss meine Rezension nochmal ändern. Ich besitze das Gerät nun schon seit zwei Jahren fast, doch ab und zu treten Probleme auf, dass sich das Gerät einfach während der Fahrt abschlatet. Danach lässt es sich nur mühsam wieder in Betrieb nehmen, Motor aus, Kabel ab und wieder an Schrauben, dann geh es manchmal wieder.Was mich jedoch sehr ärgert ist der vermeintliche Support der Firma die dieses Gerät hier verkauft. Seit Monaten bekomme ich Rückfragen die teilweise derart unverständlich gestellt sind, dass es nicht mal Sinn macht diese zu beantworten. Eine wirkliche Hilfe ist dabei nicht zu erwarten, wie sich herausgestellt hat, also wenn ihr ein Problem habt, vertraut nicht drauf, dass man euch hilft!!! Deshalb nur ein Stern.....
