Gets very hot.
If you need a heavy duty soldering iron this is it. Glows red hot and will transfer heat to anything. If you want to solder on to modern PCBs with surface mounted components buy one of the ceramic heated ones with temperature control and fine tips. Saying that, this is a great product for bigger jobs.

The ultimate soldering tool that you need
If you sold in regularly, then this one is just perfect Watts, the length, the tip, everything, I used to use the one with them with a gas, but no, it was not what I was expected, but this one oh my God.

Gets very hot
Returning this after almost one use. I say almost as it got so hot it started to melt its own handle and then it triiped the fuse for my work shop. Never evn got to solder a wire joint.

Tip oxydises quickly
This iron gets really hot and can transfer heat for bigger jobs but the tip oxydises really quickly and therefore the solder wont stick have replaced it with another 100w iron from amaxon which is physically much smaller but puts down good heat and is a bit of a bargain.

Alright for a one of but melts the tips.
You get what you pay for. If you can afford it buy the weller thermostatic iron. Much better. I have gone through 3 tips on this in a month.
