Akar Vertical Shoulder Leather Holster for 1911 3"- 5" - Choose Your Color & Hand -

The leather holster is thin and the only thing made of leather at all. The nylon strapping is difficult to adjust and uncomfortable. I would have just returned it but I tried to work with the strap problem by shortening them and melting the frayed ends. It then fit better when empty but still uncomfortable bunching-up in the middle of your back where the straps have to make a 90 degree turn to accommodate the opposite arm, but worst of all is the fact that there is no way at all this rig will support the weight of a fully loaded .45 Government Issue 1911, the nylon straps are just not the proper gauge of thickness and are weak even after shortening them to the point of maximum stretch. You get what you pay for so pay more and get something that works because this one doesn't...buy all leather, straps and holster, and be sure there is a triangular leather connector in the back to distribute the straps to the opposite arm properly that will lay flat.

The photos look nice and may deceive the viewer, leather is thin and nylon straps are low quality. The design is something I'm not use to see in a shoulder holster, maybe the reason its not pictured. Should have read the other reviews before pulling the trigger on this purchase.

Overall get what you pay for. Cheap junk but I got it as a costume prop. DO NOT TRUST FOR A REAL WEAPON PLEASE.

I received the holster with a damaged snap! I am returning it for a refund!I am glad that it was damaged so I can return it and not feel bad about doing so!I would not recommend anyone buying this product, I would not trust it to hold a cap gun let alone my 1911!

Very thin leather, difficult to adjust, not at all comfortable.Would probably be worth keeping if it cost about 1/4th as much,because you could use pieces parts for other things.My vote is . . . . PASS on this one.

I Have a 1911 ACP .45 it doesn't fit it doesn't have enough barrel length but they show it does I wound up buying a good one at a gun store

Nice for the money. Snap that holds the gun is week,comes unsnapped easily.
