Meat Grinder
I don't eat meat but do buy it for my 2 Border Collies to mix with their kibble. I usually buy ASDA Frozen Minced Beef but there is such a lot of fat I have also been getting Frying Steak and boiling it. Problem was spending ages afterwards cutting it into little pieces so this machine looked to be the ideal solution. Delivered quickly and after trying it out I am really pleased with it.

DANGEROUS - UNFIT EVEN FOR CAT FOOD! Amazed Still Available on Amazon...
I’ve never been as thoroughly disgusted with Amazon as I have been (and still am) over this product. More disgusting still is the fact that after alerting them to how dangerous it is and informing them that it cannot possibly comply with EU regulations, it's still available for purchase on their site 2 & 1/2 months later.I have a beautifully rosetted female Bengal kitten on the active register. As she’s due to be bred in the future, I obviously want her to be as healthy as possible. Knowing full well how inadequate commercial cat food is for meeting a cat's natural dietary requirements, I decided to purchase this to help make food for her myself.I purchased direct from Amazon, in the belief that they would not stock items that don't comply with EU regulations. The grinder arrived all shiny and new. I used it twice, following all instructions given. The first use was to coarsely mince over 2.5 KG of organic chicken meat, which was put in the freezer overnight as it was very late.On disassembling for cleaning that night, I noted staining to the feed plate ('cutting accessory'), but largely dismissed it as being probably due to a normal reaction from being used for the first time. The following day, I used the grinder again to grind the coarsely ground meat finer.Unfortunately, I added it to other ingredients before disassembling the grinder for cleaning - and spotted what looked and smelled suspiciously like rust.I then examined the coarse grinding plate that I'd handwashed the previous night, and through the oil coating it, noted clear signs of rust.I make my own powdered eggshell & bonemeal by hand, making sure to extract the marrow - this task alone takes a good few hours when I'm preparing to cook a batch of cat food to freeze. All my preparation time was wasted, along with over 2.5 KG of organic chicken, organic eggs, fish and liver; as I threw away what I'd prepared so far.I then cleaned the machine & both plates that had been used by hand, but didn't re-oil the plates. The photos in this review show the results to both sides of each plate, and the surfaces that they dried on.I now firmly believe that the instructions regarding oiling the plates are given to help disguise rusting more than anything else. I note that the product description fails to mention what metal the 'cutting accessories' are made of (but they certainly aren't stainless steel, and I don't believe that they can be aluminium either, to have rusted so rapidly); and that they're excluded from the list of 'food grade certified' items.So... when I very vocally complained & requested compensation from Amazon (the vendor) for all the wasted time, effort & ingredients, did they comply or seem to care? Like hell they did - their customer service agent insisted (even after consulting with a supervisor), that the best they were able to offer was a small token credit to my account as a gesture - which didn't even come nearly halfway to covering the cost of the chicken alone.Worst of all, they're still allowing this machine to be sold on their site, and seemingly endorsing it by offering Prime delivery & dispatching it on behalf of the only currently listed vendor. All in all, it's been a very disturbing & enlightening experience.I noticed that one of the 5 star ratings isn't from a verified purchaser, and has been written in poor English (grammar). Curious, I checked SW's profile - of 17 reviews to date, 15 are 5 star, 2 are 4 star, and not a single one is based on a verified purchase... make of that what you will.If that review were discounted, this product would have a 2.75 star rating at this stage - something potential purchasers might think worth taking into consideration.I literally wouldn't consider giving meat that's passed through those plates to an animal. Do you want to give it to your family or children?

Avoid at any cost
Must return the machine as the machine is faulty.I have minced 1.3 kg lamb shoulder.Initially really happy as it has done a job in no time. But just after first use, when started to take the machine apart for hand washing there was found a metal component looking like a tiny hook within the leftover meat on scroll (part no 13) which was in the scroll housing.I have investigated and looks like this loose metal component was ripped off the metal washer that is sitting at thd end of the scroll near white plastic part as this metal washer is missing some metal.I am extremely unhappy that I and my young family have been put in danger of eating this sharp hook due to the machine failure. Therefore requested refund and now need to send this useless product back via post office
