They are the small sized capers called "Non Pareilles" on the jar's label.

Q: Where exactly are these capers from?

The jar says nothing about country of origin. They are DEFINITELY NOT from Italy: Authentic Italian products carry clear and evident origin info, especially for export. "Supremo Italiano" makes no sense in Italian, and it is obviously a brand name aiming at APPEARING Italian. Lastly, the label claims that the capers "can COMPLIMENT any salad or a variety of ... dishes": we Italians, as a rule, do not believe in talking berries, nor are we confused about the different meaning of COMPLEMENT. LOL!

Q: What kind of vinegar is used? Is it distilled?

"Distilled" as opposed to what? "Non-distilled"? What is the difference? The label says "vinegar". The capers are imported from Morocco, if that's any help. They are delicious!
