Excellent Value and Performance in a Compact Package!
I’ve been using the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 (14 inch) for a few months now, and I’m genuinely impressed by what it offers at this price point. The laptop is sleek, lightweight, and ideal for travel or working on the go. Despite its slim profile, it feels solid and well-built.Performance-wise, it handles everyday tasks like browsing, streaming, and productivity work with ease. The display is crisp and bright, and the keyboard is comfortable to type on—even during longer sessions. Boot-up is fast, and multitasking is smooth thanks to the modern processor and ample RAM.Battery life has also exceeded my expectations. I easily get through a full day of work without scrambling for the charger, but mine is permanently docked most days. It’s clear Lenovo has paid attention to optimizing both performance and efficiency here. All in all, this is a fantastic option for students, professionals, or anyone looking for a reliable laptop without breaking the bank. Highly recommended!

Great for £360
I paid £360 for this laptop. Perfect for a university student. Easy web browsing and typing. Made of plastic and metal so is relatively light to transport. Battery lasts a few hours from fully charged provided not doing anything intensive otherwise will need to carry charger. Will need charger for full day of use. Charges quickly. TouchPad is responsive. Screen is decent but have seen better resolutions elsewhere, but is great for £360. Overall neat tidy laptop. Would not pay more than I did for it though as there are better ones for £600 with better features

Built to a budget!
I have a 17" ASUS laptop which is brilliant - but it's a bit of a lump to take with me on my travels. So, I decided to get something smaller and lighter to use when I am out and about - mainly for emails, web browsing, using Word and Excel and some casual gaming.I was fortunate to purchase this Lenovo laptop at a very reasonable £359 in an Amazon deal. I also took advantage of the option to pay in 5 interest-free monthly installments. That is a bit of a bargain. That said, at anything approaching its full RRP, this device probably isn't the best value mid-range laptop available. This one has been built to a budget and it shows:-- The display is not as good as most similar laptops and needs to be viewed from directly in front and not at an angle.- There is no fingerprint sensor nor is there facial recognition (as MS Hello does not support the inbuilt camera).- The memory is soldered in so it cannot be user upgraded.- The keyboard is not backlit - which can be annoying in poor light. However, at £359 one can't expect too much and in general, I am very pleased. As regards its good points:-- The laptop looks good.- It is compact, slim and lightweight.- It does everything I need of it well.- Build quality is excellent.Indeed, this Lenovo is surprisingly quick and responsive - probably due to the Micron PCLe 4.0 SSD (512GB / 7200 mbps) and 16GB of DDR5 memory. It's also very quiet even under heavy load and it does not get excessively hot.Sound is adequate - though I use Bluetooth earphones anyway! WiFi (6) works as expected with no issues.I particularly like the dark blue case which having a slightly textured finish, is not a fingerprint magnet. I added a couple of folding feet (about £4 on Amazon) which give a better viewing and typing angle. As I stated above, the display is a little disappointing. However, viewing is much better (adequate) at higher brightness levels and when using a higher contrast (more vivid) theme.Battery life is fine (I get 4-5 hours continuous use from a full charge). Also, the initial charging rate is very rapid so you're soon back on the road. Lenovo claims 2 hours use from a 14 minute charge. There isn't too much bloatware apart from the abominably expensive MS Office 365 - which I deleted and replaced it with MS Office Professional Plus 2024 with a lifetime license. This is readily available on the Web at amazing prices (I paid just €5) - and works fine with full MS support and updates. However, it is for use on a single PC with no version upgrades and it cannot be reinstalled (so take frequent backups)! The Lenovo Vantage App is pre-installed and is useful for keeping the laptop in good health, firmware/software updates, hardware tests, and warranty status etc. However, I did have to manage its notifications to prevent it being too intrusive. The Lenovo NOW App should be avoided (removed) unless you want incessant reminders to purchase additional warranty.....So, in summary, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 laptop is a case of horses for courses. Know what you are buying and you won't be disappointed. At the price I paid, I think it's very good value for money and it meets all my requirements. Oddly, Amazon seems to change the selling price every few hours - so check frequently and grab a bargain when available 😀

Amazing!
A***** Absolutely brilliant! I run my own business so I only needed a laptop for Microsoft office, emails, playing music, storing photos, Google etc. I was worried that, like my sons HP which I bought 2 years ago, would be slow to boot up and navigate. My old Acer laptop took approximately 30 mins to open it up, login in , open up a word document and then send it via email! Shocking but it was 10 years old 😤This laptop takes less than 13 seconds to boot up and then you have instant access to your files. Like a dream! For the price it is perfect and I love it. There were comments about the screen not being clear or a blue tint to it, but this is fine.Easy peasy to set up, I’m not techy, and if you already store your documents on Onedrive on your old laptop, they just slide over to the new instantly.I cannot fault it. I don't play games or watch movies on it, but for me its perfect! It came with free Microsoft 365 office for free.Very happy with my purchase and my husband says he hears less cursing from my office 😆😆👍

Poor performance and poor screen
UPDATE May 2025: The laptop has started randomly disconnecting from WiFi networks. All other devices in my house remain connected. It’s becoming increasingly frustrating using this laptop to the point where I wish I hadn’t bought the thing. On paper this laptop looks really good. Decent CPU, plenty of memory, an SSD that is spacious enough for most users. However, the screen is absolutely terrible. Contrast is poor, brightness is poor and colour accuracy and white balance are none existent. There isn’t a good viewing angle at all. I tried using the Windows screen calibration but no settings made it better. The price was a big deciding factor but I’m probably only going to use this laptop when connected to a monitor which defeats the point of having a laptop in the first place.Would strongly recommend anyone considering this laptop to either go to a store and see the screen in person, or, spend a bit more for a better screen. Your eyes will thank you…
