Underrated shoes
I have problem feet and weak ankles. My knees are not what they used to be. It has been nearly impossible for me to find shoes I can walk in on the treadmill or outside that do not make my ankles hurt, contribute to shin splints or give me plantar fasciitis, etc. I bought these simply because my Keen Whispers have been shoes I can walk in all day with no problems and they have been amazing. I can go five miles on the treadmill and my feet aren't even tired. Whatever this shoe does in terms of arch support and cushioning, is what I need. I highly recommend.

Keen shoes
These are very lightweight and sturdy. Perfect for walkers, working and standing for a long time. Easy to get on and off. The look really nice. The fit true to size. Comfortable and easy to clean. Only had a few weeks so not sure how long the last but I think I found my new favorite shoe.

No as durable as well xpected
4 stars for comfort but 2 for durability. I have worn them about 4 or 5 times on 5 to 9 mile hikes and the fabric on the right shoes is torn. And I have had no falls nor hiked on very rocky trails, so I am was surprised to see this. I have had many Keen hiking shoes in the past and they were durable, but not this pair.

Great shoes!
These shoes are pretty great! I'm on a quest to find the perfect shoes for me to wear to work. I'm on my feet all day and my feet, knees, and legs can ache quite badly at the end of the day, especially if I wear the wrong shoes.I have tried about 5 different high quality shoes to date. All of them have been really good, like 4 to 4.5 stars, but so far I haven't found my 5 star shoes. I was hoping these Keens would fit the bill. I think these are about a 4.7, so they are almost perfect with just a minor issue. I thought I ordered the right size, I usually wear 9.5 to 10 in athletic shoes. I ordered size 9.5 in these, and they seemed fine at first. Now I am wondering if I should have ordered a size 10, they just feel a bit snug to me. Maybe a size 10 would be perfect. I will continue wearing these, but will keep in mind to order a size 10 going forward in athletic and hiking shoes. These shoes seem to be very well made and durable too. They are attractive in design as well as color. They are lightweight and comfortable. They didn't need breaking in, the first time I wore them all day at work and they were fine. The arch support must be good for me, because I didn't notice any problems with that and my legs, knees, and feet didn't ache at the end of the day either. There is enough room for my toes, and the traction is good too. I think the only problem I have with these is feeling a bit snug. I don't think it's a problem with the shoe, I probably need a size 10, so that's my mistake.I don't yet know how well they will hold up over time, since I haven't had them very long, but I don't anticipate any issues. I will update this review if I obtain more insightful information in the future.

Generous size, solid footbed
For reference, the first time I wore these, I literally took off a pair of Hoka Gaviotas (6.5W) to put these on. I have a wide forefoot but many wide-width shoes are too deep for me, so I end up getting gouged in the heels (including but not limited to every single wide-width New Balance I've ever tried).I got these in 6.5M and found both length and width to be on the generous side. They're narrower than the Hokas, but not by much. I had plenty of room fore the aforementioned wide toes, even in toe socks (which help with those pinky toe pinch blisters, btw, if that's a problem for you). They're definitely longer than the Hokas, especially at the point of the toe. I'm not sure I'd call them oversized so much as "hiking sized," which is to say that there's room for the fat socks if you want them, and room for a good bit of swelling in thinner socks. They don't have anywhere near the support or ride of the Hokas, and in fairness I'd be shocked if they did. The Gaviota is a high-support, high-cushion shoe, even relative to the Hoka line. There is some support, absolutely, which I think would be plenty for folks who don't need stability to counteract pronation, or even those with mild pronation. I'd add an insert if you've got enough arch or heel instability to be able to feel it in your knees, back, hips - anywhere, really. I'm a big fan of better safe than sorry.I also like the color (graphite). Since we're talking Hoka, that's a beef I have with them. Do I want to wear raspberry and neon orange? No. No, I do not. It's great for folks who do, but neutral options sell like crazy, based on what's available on clearance at the end of the model year. These are a dark grey, not quite black and therefore not as severe, with taupe and a creamy white. They're the opposite of loud, and I'm a huge fan of that. (Btw - I do like loud shoes, just not in my performance shoes. Give me all the loud flats.) In fact, 3 of the 4 options are reasonably calm on this model - some with splashes of color, but nothing that brings to mind relatives of Pennywise.

My first Keen's
I have already heard that Keen's are great shoes yet I have never had a pair until now. My first impression was these are very comfortable. My feet don't feel squished. There is plenty of room for the toes. They are easy to get on and off. They feel wonderful walking in all day and feet don't hurt at all. The craftmanship of the shoe and material do not feel cheap. You get a high quality shoe that Keen is known for. These shoes will be lasting me a very long time.
