Solid Scan Tool with Surprising Features for the Price
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using the Launch X431 Creader Elite 2.0 for a few weeks now and I’m really happy with it so far. Setup was quick, the touchscreen is smooth, and it connects to vehicles without a problem. I’ve used it on a few different makes and it picked everything up right away. It reads and clears codes from all systems—engine, ABS, airbag, transmission—you name it. It also shows live data in real time and even graphs it, which makes it a lot easier to spot issues. I was surprised to find it even has bi-directional controls (like testing fans or actuators), which you usually only find on more expensive scanners. The updates are done over Wi-Fi, which is super convenient. Overall, though, it’s a powerful tool for the price—great for serious DIYers or even light shop use. Definitely worth the money.

Great easy to use affordable scan tool
Very handy diagnostic tool, will pull your VIN and get you to manufacturer specific diagnostic data. Really works well on the European vehicles I typically work on. Great tool for the price, would recommend. Feels very rugged and built tough

A lot of bang for buck.
Excellent product. Instantly communicated with my 10 year old bmw and accurately read all data. It’s not difficult to read the health report. I’m no mechanic and have no idea what some of these options can do. There are options to change and modify things I myself don’t understand. I just need it to read any check engine light or tire pressure sensor which it does. More settings than I need but worth having if I ever need to modify settings in the future.

A most have diagnostic power house. For Pros and DIYers
As a professional mechanic specializing in BMWs, the Launch 431 Creader Elite 2.0 BBAOBD2 scanner has completely changed the game in my shop. This tool punches well above itsweight in terms of features and functionality, making it an absolute beast for troubleshooting anddiagnostics. The scanner’s comprehensive system diagnostics and ECU coding let me tap into the vehicle'sguts, identifying issues across all modules, from DME and CAS to DSC and more. Itsbidirectional control is a lifesaver during troubleshooting—it allows me to run component testsand command actuators, like ABS pumps or electronic throttle bodies, to confirm properfunction. The ability to code and retrofit new modules makes this tool a key player for customjobs and retrofitting upgrades. Plus, resetting EWS (Electronic Immobilizer Systems) andhandling key programming is smooth as butter with this scanner.Service maintenance tasks are effortless—it handles oil change resets and service intervaladjustments with no sweat. Even better, I can register a new battery to the car's system withoutany hiccups, and it’s a breeze to code out those annoying warning messages that driverscomplain about. The fact that it can generate detailed diagnostic reports and email them directlyto clients adds a polished, professional touch to the service experience. One of the key strengths of this scanner is its compatibility. While it’s an essential tool forBMWs, covering most models from the E, F, G, and i-Series, it also works seamlessly with arange of other high-end brands, including Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Audi, Rolls-Royce, andMaybach. This makes it a versatile choice for mechanics working across multiple luxury brands. What really sets this scanner apart is its portability. The compact design makes it easy to carryaround the bay or take with me for mobile diagnostics. The Android-based system is quick toboot and intuitive to navigate, so I’m not losing time fumbling with settings. Live data streamingand active testing give me real-time insights, shaving off hours of guesswork on the bench. With updates, this scanner evolves as the tech on modern vehicles advances—no obsolescenceworries here. For any tech-savvy wrencher or shop professional, this tool pays for itself in notime.

DONT BUY
Product comes with no files! The micro sd card does not work and usb adaptor won’t let you down load the software needed to work.

BMW & Mercedes scanner in one. Almost great!
With 2 Mercedes and 1 BMW I figured that this scanner was a good investment, and it is. In fact, it also has VW, Bentley and Lamborghini support. I have owned basic scanners in the past, but most just give you the error code and nothing beyond that. I wanted something that would go deeper and for this price it was an easy decision.I should say up front that deciding between models and brands was a pain. No one seems to publish a definitive list of features that are accessible by the scanner. I realize this may be related to the actual car that it is connected to, but anything would help. And having a disclaimer of "varies by model" does not help anyone. So, buyer beware. Test the scanner when you get it and if it doesn't do what you need, send it back. Here are my pros and cons:Pros> Small size, fits easily in the car or a drawer in the toolbox.> Good screen, even though it is on the small side. Touch is pretty accurate, certainly acceptable.> Battery life, plenty for my needs. It does receive power from the car when in use, so no issue.> Value. It's tough to compare products in this category but for the price paid, there's plenty of functionality. Plus, it comes with a zippered case.Cons> No Documentation. How difficult would it be to publish the various menu items that are presented to the user for review in advance of a session? Maybe it depends on the actual vehicle being scanned but some indication of what you can expect would be very welcome.> The Mall. The concept of renting access to an additional car platform for a yearly fee is a big turn-off. I'd rather spend another $100 on an additional scanner than keep paying for the software add-on.All in all, a great purchase but you're going to have to invest some time learning its capabilities. Recommended.
