Checks all boxes
Really nice keyboard. Feels sturdy, typing on it sounds great and makes me faster typing overall. I was looking for a good looking keyboard with hot-swappable switches, nice keycaps, good sound, wired-only, and this was a good choice regarding those points. Makes me smile every time I use it. Recommended.

Great bang for the buck
Finding keyboards that offer qmk/via at this low a price while providing a great feature set isn't easy but Royal Kludge continues to pump out budget bangers. Now it's not perfect. Opening the board is a pain as the clips are really on there tight and I definitely damaged a few while opening mine(hopefully making it easier incase I do it again) limiting the amount of times you can do this. The pcb is EXTREMELY flexy, which can be a positive or negative depending on how you like your keyboards. This + the sock gaskets makes for an extremely soft flexy typing experience. Highly recommend removing/cutting the spacebar gasket to open the sound around that area as it will thin out the spacebar sound. The stock keycaps are honestly not great and a weird profile overall but great to get started on if keycaps aren't in your budget. The switches seem to be gateron silver pros although I could be wrong but they look the exact same. Frankly not my cup of tea at all, they just feel like cheap linear switches but again they might fit your usage just fine and are good to get started on. The keyboard is extremely light making it great for portability and with the included foams and flex cut pcb it can make for a relatively quiet keyboard depending on what switches you use. Last and most importantly, VIA works perfectly. Find the JSON file on their website, load it through the web app on google chrome and authorize the board. Flawless experience. I didn't bother trying QMK since I only ever use VIA so your mileage may vary. The board also comes with a dust cover. Overall a great buy for the price if you're looking for something solid and relatively inexpensive. Royal Kludge does it again.Update: This board pairs amazingly well with Akko creamy purple pros. Also pro tip, if you want to make this board extremely quiet for office use, remove the pe foam(and potentially the pet film) sitting on the top of the pcb. Immediately quiets the board regardless of switches. This has now become my perfect cheap office keyboard.

So Creamy, Very Responsive, Keycaps are great
This is the best stock sounding keyboard I have ever owned. For just 60-70 dollars? This thing is a steal. I love the purple color that I got. Switches are so great (The Silver Ones) RGB looks good too though I don't really use it to be honest since I prefer the plain look. Software is alright but other than that this thing is wonderful. Just for the keycaps and pre lubed sound + stock case foaming and large key stabilizers, I would call this thing a must purchase at any price below $100 to be honest lol. Great little keyboard! Really nice getting to have arrow keys and function row keys as well while still maintaining the small feel of a 60% keyboard or at least close to it. Great little thing! Buy it now! What are you waiting for! :DDDDD

The Sermon of the Thonk
Dateline: A Desktop, Under the Harsh Light of a Monitor. In the world of mechanical keyboards, you are on a holy quest. A search for the perfect combination of feel, sound, and function. The RK ROYAL KLUDGE R75 is a machine that gets you agonizingly close to the promised land. It is a dense, substantial slab of pure typing pleasure, a tool that feels like it was carved from a single, solid block of intent. The 75% layout is a masterstroke of efficiency, keeping all the essential keys while trimming the fat, leaving just enough room for that beautiful, beautiful volume knob—a tactile, analog dial in a world gone mad with touchscreen nonsense. The keycaps are a revelation. Thick, textured PBT with a clean, dignified font, a welcome rebellion against the spiky, illegible "gamer" typeface that plagues so many other boards. This is a keyboard for a grown-up.But the real magic happens when you type. This is a gasket-mounted board. The entire plate that holds the switches is cushioned, suspended, isolated from the main chassis. The result is a sound and feel that is nothing short of a religious experience. There is no harsh, metallic clatter. There is only a deep, creamy, and profoundly satisfying thonk. Each keystroke is a tiny, rhythmic sermon. It is the sound of work being done, of thoughts being hammered into existence. It is glorious. And it is here, at the peak of this sensory delight, that the bitterness creeps in. The digital ghost that haunts this otherwise magnificent machine. I speak, of course, of the firmware. This particular R75, an early soldier from a previous hardware revision, is a ghost ship. It has no soul. It lacks the crucial QMK/VIA support that would allow a true power user to remap its keys, to mold it into a perfect, customized extension of their own will. To have a machine this physically perfect, this satisfying to the ear and hand, but to be locked out of its brain… it is a special kind of torment. It’s like being handed the keys to a vintage muscle car, only to find the hood has been welded shut. There is no wireless, no Bluetooth, a simple, honest wired connection that I can respect. But the lack of deep, customizable firmware is a wound that cannot be ignored. It is the one, single, glaring flaw in an otherwise masterpiece of affordable engineering. So here it sits. A four-star champion in a five-star body. It is a joy to type on, a solid, thonky, and beautiful piece of hardware. But the knowledge of what it could be, of the potential locked away behind an outdated bit of silicon, is a constant, nagging reminder of its tragic, near-perfect status. It is a keyboard that has perfected the body, but is still waiting for its soul.

Easy to replace key switches
Peak keyboard with easy to replace key switches. Solid price in my opinion with a nice design. I’ve had no issues with it that weren’t easy to fix. plus a really satisfying sound.
