These WORK! I bought a different one and my 6 year old was able to enter the house with it installed. Well… we tried this one and my husband actually broke our door off the hinges testing to see if this works. Since the door handle side was so secure with this bar installed, the hinges on the other side broke off instead with the force of trying to push the door open. So yes this really does secure doors. The question is will intruders push hard enough to break the door off the hinges!!

I have ordered four of these altogether. I feel safe with them even though I feel like that I need to get some more security. I was broken into once and attempt the second time I didn’t have them at the time and they did destroy two of my doors luckily I wasn’t home and they did not make it all the way in the house due to the fact I had something up against The door, not to protect the door, but that’s the only place I had to set a table it being winter it didn’t matter now that it’s getting to be pretty weather. I’m gonna have to move the table, but I need security for the door. Hope to find something better. These are handy. I made sure that they stay in my door day and night when I’m home alone.

My friend loved them. She lives alone and this made her feel safer. When we slid the bars in place with our feet and hands you could push hard and make the bars slide. We took a rubber mallet and tapped it in on the bottom of the bar and it was much more stable. Both the girl and I are handicapped and neither one of us can use our hands and feet well.The rubber mallet helped us a lot. I guess it depends on the floors also. If someone really wanted to get in they could slam themselves into the door and the bar would slide for the door to open. All the noise someone would make trying to get in would allow you to call 911. It would give you time to do whatever you have to do to defend yourself. It also depends on the angle you are trying to use with the bar.

I don’t know how it works against an intruder but it gives me piece of mind. It says it holds up to 400lbs of force, which is basically my husband. Soooo let’s just hope no one that size, tries to break in.

These helped me out when my door wasn't shutting. (Something was wrong with my latch) I now just use it for a sense of security now that the doors are fixed. I have had my friends test it out and try to get into my room while using this. They weren't able to! Definitely makes me feel much safer. Easy to use.

These are very sturdy, and they don't slide when someone tries to push through your door. I live in an apartment complex that only has a deadbolt on the door to hold it shut so I wasn't sleeping very well at night. So, I got to searching online for security stuff for an apartment and these came up, so I checked out the reviews and such and I decided to purchase them. I'm so glad I did because I've had random strangers walk up to my front door in the broad daylight and try to walk into my apartment like they live here they don't live here but they tried. I feel so much safer with these up to both my doors. I only take these down if I've gone out to get the mail, walk my dog or something like that and I don't linger outside my home for very long because I have two adult children with disabilities at home I have to make sure they're safe as well.

Best security we have found for the price. Easy to adjust and install. Very sturdy!
