Works with SMK 25ii
In case it helps anyone else, I was hoping this would connect directly to the the MVAVE SMK 25ii midi controller. I plugged the midi dongles into a Roland Verselab MV-1, turned everything on, then turned on my SMK 25ii, and it automatically connected to the dongles. I'm not using the USB adapter at all. Pretty awesome for a dawless setup!

Works with M-Vave Chocolate MIDI Pedal
Bought this to use with my Chocolate MIDI pedal to control my digital rack-mount mixer. It works great, zero issues. I am not using the USB-A adapter, just the 5-pin. There is no configuration required, just plug in and turn on, the Chocolate pedal will connect. You can use the CubeSuite app to update the firmware, that's about it, it doesn't control the settings it seems. I recommend this if you need Bluetooth for your Chocolate pedal.

IT connects ....but
I returned this mostly because its not accurate at all. I was using it or trying to, be able to send tap tempo to my floor unit. A midi cable does this with perfection, zero lag and accurate. This was slow and always off by 2-3 BPM when sending. Customer service is zero help....This will not work with IPAD running OnSong with a Fractal Audio FM9

Great, stable connection, flimsy cable
My only problem with this is its cheap build. As in so cheap you feel it will disintegrate at the slightest bump. The little wire connecting the in and out is puny and i wouldn’t tug on that thing. Having said that, the connection so far has been pretty stable. I use it to connect the M-Vave chocolate toMy pod hd500. No touring with it yet though.

Works great
Plug and play, mapping for keys works as intended, haven't tested battery life tho.

I would purchase again
Works great. I have used it with my Akai EWI and my midi keyboard. Charge lasts a long time. I cannot notice any lag.

May not work with sysex transfers
Bought one of these on a whim and while using BT MIDI interfaces on a Mac is a little annoying -- you have to activate the interface every time you turn it on -- it works fine for MIDI note transmission. However, if you want to send/receive sysex data like patches, then you may have problems. I was able to send librarian/editor patches to the two external MIDI devices I tried (Casio CZ-101 and Yamaha TX802) but was unable to successfully retrieve patches from either device.Figuring this might be addressed in a more recent a firmware update, I tried to contact M-Vave but had no luck, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯I plan on using it with a drum pad controller, anyway, so I elected to keep the unit.
