Perfect fit with room for extras
This is a nice semi-hard shell case that fits the DR-05 recorder perfectly and the elastic band secures it in place. The zipper pouch easily fits the patch cord that I use to play and USB cable for transferring files. I can also fit the batteries and a set of extra batteries in the pouch. I say fit the batteries because I always remove dry cell batteries before storing any electronic device for any length of time because they will leak and ruin the device. What's great is that the zippered section keeps the batteries close for when I need them.

It fits in there perfectly with a little room for small cables and adapters I wouldn’t put fragile things inside like clip mics and laveliers , won’t have to worry about damaging my tascam DR-05x good deal

Bulky but sturdy
These cases are rather wide but looks like it can take a fall and protect the audio box. So that’s a win.

I was hoping it would be a little bigger inside but it wasn't.
I was hoping it would be bigger on the inside for a wall charger & some extra cords.
