It’s a chemical reaction sometimes it takes a little longer than others. Put it into a saucepan of water from cold and bring it to the boil and simmer eventually it will go I promise you. It can drive you up the wall waiting for it to change. It’s a good idea to put a wire mesh at the bottom of the saucepan so it doesn’t come into direct contact with the hot saucepan. This can melt the plastic The longer you leave it to recharge the longer it will take to change it back to A gel. I’ve never had one that one change back eventually usually the kids lose them.

Q: How do you reheat them - can they be microwaved?

Cannot microwave them.Just pop them in a pan of boiling water for about 10 minutes to return them to original state. Found they only kept their heat for about 90 mìns after activation, which is not long for a round of golf.

Probably a little too large to go in goalkeeping gloves. There are smaller versions of the reusable handwarmer but in our experience they don't last long enough to be helpful.
