Fit Our Thick Vinyl Window Frames With a Little Modification
They fit on our vinyl windows even with their thick frames. However to do so I had to cut off half the rubber protector, so it only remains where the screws contact. Heavy rubber liners prevent window frames from being damaged. Twin screws help provide confidence they will be secure.

Not work as it is advertised
The vinyl piece is supposed to prevent scratching the window frame, but because of this vinyl piece the whole lock can easily slide as you slide the window open. The lock seems to saty firm without the vinyl piece.

These did the job. Rubber protects the railing. I have a 4 way sliding door system in an open one bedroom and struggled to find something to keep 2 doors from sliding as the rails are not window or actual patio sliding door dimensions.

A must for city living.
Exactly what we were looking for. Eventually the threads on the aluminum will let go, but I’m willing to re-purchase this every few years.

Good
Good quality fix to prevent children opening from inside or unwanted visitors opening from outside!!!! I like the rubber insert that prevents scratches on the window slide.

Surprisingly good security
These were a little fiddly to put on the patio sliding door rail, but once I figured it out, they were quite well. Recommended.

I feel very safe with the windows open in my ground floor apartment.
These are easy to install and work really well. I feel very safe with the windows open in my ground floor apartment. I also have these installed above my window air conditioner unit.

No tools!
I really liked that this required no tools to put on. No drills to mess with means you don't have to worry about hitting the glass when you install! I also liked it was a two pIce package.I bought them for sliding glass doors after my bar that sits in the track failed. Two young guys were able to tilt my patio doors just enough to get their fingers in to pull out my dog door to break in. Lesson learned! I now have these on the bottom and top of slide rails so no more tilting doors!
