Q: will this hold 1kg of dried food

They will hold anything you put in them !! You will have to put in dried ingredients to the top to check about the 1 kg aspect. If you mean 'beans rice, or pulses' just fill and 'JIGGLE'. I even put VERY hot chicken stock in them (obviously let stock COOL before attempting to MOVE container. BUT, they HOLD ANYTHING YOU CARE TO NAME !!! and the LIDS are as secure as a Swiss Bank. Anything else you need or want to know, I am happy to help !! ....PS. And one more thing, unlike many 'stackable' plastic container sets, they DON'T stack so TIGHTLY that they STICK TOGETHER !! Q: can someone give me the correct measurements of these please as 12cm converts to 4.72ins which im sure is not correct

these tubs are great and really strong they are 4 and a half inches across the top and taper to 4 inches across the bottom and they are 4 and a half inches high. I used them to freeze products and store in the fridge, stored dried ingredients as air tight. I put them through my dishwasher all the time and they come out perfect. I really recommend them as the best I have found so far.

they are quite big so probably about half to one pound of food. I used mine when storing left overs or storing fruit etc they are very strong and I wash them in the dishwasher so ideal for busy households as most containers will melt in dishwashers

Yes they are all the same size. I bought a pack of these and a pack of 10 of the smaller ones. They are good quality and keep the freezer nice and tidy 😊
