SUNYIK Teardrop Rainbow Abalone Shell Stone Pendant Necklace

EDIT: I've come upon some troubling information stating that many kinds of abalone are at risk of becoming endangered species. (Don't take my word for it, do some research of your own.) in fact, when I bought this I didn't even know that abalone was a sea creature!! The idea just doesn't sit well with me so I won't be wearing or buying abalone jewelry again, reguarless of how beautiful they are... Just look at it- beautiful! But I will most likely be putting it on a different chain. I got 2 compliments on it today and was asked where I got it from!

I confess, I am disappointed. I have purchased a pendant from this seller before (the two-toned green and white one) and it was absolutely stunning. I loved how unique it looked. I am an artist. I create bead jewelry and I love looking for unique pendants and beads to use in my creations. I was looking again at this seller's pendants the other day, while shopping for my nephew's birthday, and I was immediately drawn to this one because it was purple (the ones I have seen are mostly green) and I saw unusual patterns in its matrix. I was really excited to create something with this pendant. Well, the pendant arrived today, and while it IS really pretty, its not what is shown in the picture at all. Its green....as you can see from the picture I provided and has none of the markings shown in the picture. Its a beautiful pendant, as are all of this seller's pieces, and I'm sure I can do something with it, but I feel a bit deflated because I was so looking forward to working with THAT pendant.

This pendant is so gorgeous! I used it in my Moana Disneybound to mimic her necklace from the movie, but it's such a beautiful piece I use it in everyday wear too!

This is a really beautifully piece of jewelry. The pendant is sturdy, beautiful and the size you would expect for a long necklace. The chain that comes with it, though matching beautifully doesn't hang down as far as you'd expect it to. Not a deal breaker by any means, replace the chain with something else! I'm really happy that I bought this and I haven't seen anything like it at local stores!

100% beautiful! It’s exactly what is listed and shown. It was a gift for my friend and now I need to buy myself one. It’s not overly large like others have stated and it’s not small. This one is like if an egg was flat sized. Wish I had taken a picture before I gave it to her but it probably wouldn’t have done it justice. Don’t hesitate to buy one of these. It’s worth every penny and should cost at least 3 times the listed price. Genuine review, I was not offered a free one or discount for this review. Will happily pay full price again too.

I've recently become obsessed with abalone shells, and have been looking for some key pieces of jewelry. This pendant is gorgeous and pictures do not do it justice. I have a few chains of varying lengths, so I switch the chain depending on the top I am wearing. I have received many compliments on this necklace. it's very well made and very beautiful in person. It goes with any top, as there are so many different colors in the shell. I definitely recommend purchasing it.

I was going to send this back, granddaughter didn't care for it, however I missed the return by date, I thought I still had a few days. Anyway I wore it the other day and it's snagged my blouse/sweater, the wire in the back was not not wrapped tight enough, so I can't recommend it. Might try to fix it, not sure.

I absolutely love how vintage and beautiful this looks in person. It was definitely bigger than I was hoping for but I’ve made an exception because it’s just so beautiful and unique.HOWEVER, although I love the look of abalone, I’ve decided to no longer support this industry as abalone’s are endangered. I do suggest that you only shop from ethically harvested sources from here on out, but since the deed is done, all in all very great quality.
