GOOD STEM TOY
This was much more successful that some other robot kits we have built! It was only a little bit fildly, some of the parts had been put together already in the box. There was one bit we simply couldn't screw together but we selotaped it up and it was fine (which is a lot better than many so wont loose a star for this). This great little fella also lasts quite well and we have kept him and called him Tinny. My daughter who is 7 has learned some good words from the instructions and we talked about cams, axles, motors and crown gears.

Enjoyable basic toy
The parts all fitted together well, handy enough to put together for young kids, they may need some help tightening up the screws.Won't last too long as it doesn't do much (will get 'launched' on a test voyage down the stairs or out the window soon.

Great Gift.
I ordered this for my four year old son but was aware that he wouldn't be able to construct it himself ( as its for 8+). Very easy to construct as the instructions are very detailed and it took approximately one hour, taking into account my four year old was 'helping'. A bit fiddly as the screws are very small, but fortunately I did have a screwdriver small enough. Lovely product which my son loves playing with and we will definitely be buying more in the range later on.

Disintegrated
I bought this for my son for Christmas. I built it today. Initially it walked fine. But after 10 minutes it stopped. Its feet were moving but it wasn’t getting anywhere. I checked the motor and found that both lower plastic attachments for the screws that hold the motor case in place had disintegrated meaning that the axel was no longer tight to the worm motor and it can no longer move. Shame as my son loved it… for 10 minutes.UPDATE: I contacted support and Max got back in touch extremely quickly considering it was between Christmas and New Year. I’m being sent a replacement part which should solve the issue. Apart from this problem my son and I were both very pleased with the item.

Great idea!
I bought this robot for my granddaughter and she absolutely loved it . Once it was put together they didn't stop laughing. She is only eight and really enjoyed assembling it . Excellent for showing children how to make robots. I would recommend. Good price - quality as well.

EXCELLENT EDUCATIONAL TOOL
I bought two of these tin can robots for two of my grand children, boy and girl aged 8 and 7 respectively. Keeping their attention at that age can be difficult but building the robots with my help proved very enjoyable for all concerned. At that age they do need help with this product (small parts) but its a great way to learn about gears, motors, understanding drawings etc. Will be buying another within the next couple of weeks for another grandchild.

Kids Unimpressed
Complicated required an adult to assemble and the useless as a toy. Fell over and came apart within minutes and broke. Mistake to buy.
