I'd advise not to over-tighten the clamping mechanism as the plastic material it is made of does not look like it could stand too much stress
I used this holder in my motorcycle trip from London to Cornwall and back (total of 600 miles), and it held well keeping the phone (Google Nexus 5) steady and safe without damaging or scratching it. I'd advise not to over-tighten the clamping mechanism as the plastic material it is made of does not look like it could stand too much stress; however, it can stand enough stress for a steady and secure grip. I had no problems installing and using this holder; very satisfied with it. Generally, build quality is just above average, but great value for money.

Half the cost but material is weak as it snapped enroute????
UPDATE**** The actual thing snapped today whilst i was going over bumpy ground, and i do not now why this happened.Got one of these of eBay and a higher cost, but i was so impressed with it thought id get another for my other bike. Found one on Amazon cheaper and arrived next day. Very happy.

Not worth it
Had product for two months. Seemed fairly easy to place on bike and support my phone (iphone 6), however recently fell apart on me while riding.Can only put it down to cheap material. Would avoid buying this item just in case it falls apart on you mid ride like myself (I was lucky) .Currently search for alternative product

Easy to install and the phone is easy to get ...
Had previously bought a holder for the same price on Amazon and ended up returning it because the arm broke after 1 week. This one works really well, I was a lot more impressed with this one. It has double protection with the holder and elastic, so it stays even if you are going over lots of bumps. Easy to install and the phone is easy to get in and out of the holder.

this wasn't able to withstand the vibrations of everyday road use - stem snapped twice - in different places - don't buy it
