AcuRite Iris® Weather Station with Mini Wireless Display for Temperature, Humidity, Wind Speed, Wind Direction, Historic Rainfall Totals, and Hyperlocal Forecast with Built-in Barometer (01122M)

I've had this for probably almost three years now. It is still working perfectly just like the day I got it. It is built well, not the cheap plastic, the batteries last forever (I use Duracell Lithium batteries) The outside and inside weather stations never lose connectivity. Keeping in mind that it is an inexpensive weather station, the data I get is fairly accurate. Im not convinced that the wind speed is measuring accurately but I mainly use it for the temperature, humidity and rain gauge.

Needed new sending unit to replace 6 yr. old unit. This item was same price as lowest sending unit only and gave me an extra display even though it is less fancy than the original which still works just fine. Would recommend unit and this seller.

I placed the weather station on a high point of the roof, clear of obstruction. I checked the rain gauge and found that to be calibrated right (you poke a pin hole in a cup and let it drip in the rain catcher for a while and then check the total at the display).The next day, it did rain a bit...it showed 0.01" on the display! That's Phoenix in the Summer.I went with the mini station that shows in black and white. A color display was available for 50 dollars more.A good weather tool for the money.

I have had one of these for maybe 10 years. I replaced parts until this last round where it was too far gone. That is already a testament to how long these will last. Now that I have another, I put the second receiver in my office, which I really like. It has some predictive qualities and I find the dew point reading especially useful. I consider a good weather station a must for prepping.I have this section to rate any of my prepper-related reviews. The media could not be loaded. I love this! It works very well and is quite affordable. I’ve been interested in a weather station for a a while now and while researching options, I kept coming back to this one. As a beginner to this sort of thing I found it was extremely easy to setup. The temperature, wind, speed and rain gauge were all accurate right out of the box and I do appreciate how you can calibrate the rain gauge if it’s not accurate. The display is easy to read however in the dark you can’t see the blue on the screen but after a while you really don’t need that. And connectivity is amazing as well. I have it across my house and the signal is still strong throughout having to go through multiple walls and across a large yard. Over all its designed really well and would highly recommend.

Quickly respond to weather changes and records the past extremes. I love the rain gage, keeps a running tally each month.

the blue printing on the display is very difficult to read. Other than that, the station works fine, and gives accurate readings.
