Loved by Woodpeckers
I love having woodpeckers visit my feeders, and this mix brings in downy woodpeckers, red bellied woodpeckers, and northern flickers. Additionally my feeder is visited by chickadees, titmice, nuthatches, and more.

Nuthatches and Titmice love it!
I am so tired of those piggy, pushy House Finches eating all of the black sunflower seeds and chasing my cute little clinging birds away. They even post a guard on the feeder when they go up in their roosting tree to take day time naps! Yes, they leave at least one female House Finch to stand guard on anything that has loose black sunflower seeds in it. They eat 98% of the seeds and the Titmice and Nuthatches get access to the feeders only early and late in the day.But no more!!! I put out this and the other Wild Delight block in small hanging feeders and the House Finches can't manage to even cling to the feeders much less eat the seeds and nuts. Yeehaa! I now have a feeding area underneath this big Oak tree where the Nuthatches and Titmice nest. I keep one each of the Wild Delight feeding blocks and a 3 pound peanut butter suet cake from Pine Tree Farms hanging near each other. It is Nuthatch and Titmice heaven and I will not longer put out an endless supply of black sunflower seeds for the pig birds.I also discovered a way to put out a supply of black sunflower and millet seeds for the Nuthatches and the Titmice that are very hard for the House Finches to access. I use a large hanger and put a large seed cake that contains those seeds in it. These cakes are made by Heath (also available from Kaytee or Pine Tree Farms). The woodpeckers also love these large seed cakes. Finally I have peace for my clinging birds and the pig birds can starve or leave! They are leaving.Thank you Wild Delight.

Average Would buy again in a pinch
The product is a little bit dusty or broken up. But the birds don’t seem to care. I usually buy bigger bags of bird food. This will do in a pinch.

Birds LOVE it !
I fill the bird feeder in the morning and it’s empty by late afternoon. Everyday. What they drop , the squirrels are waiting at the bottom. Absolutely no waste at all. They love it.

Warning - jams some bird feeders!
This is a high quality bird food - full of different kinds of nuts and fruits. I've never had any problem with moths or bugs, and it definitely attracts various woodpeckers. My main gripe is that it is so full of nuts that it jams both of my bird feeders (including my super duper I-can't-believe-I-paid-80-bucks-for-bird-feeder squirrel proof feeder). I used to use this feed at a different house where I could just scatter the seed on my deck. Now I'm at a house where doing that attracts huge flocks of grackles and starlings - without debating the pros and cons of such feathered neighbors you will just have to believe that these flocks bully all the rest of the birds out of my yard...which defeats the purpose of buying expensive "woodpecker" food. So, now I have a 40 lb bag of bird seed that I have to slowly blend in with other seed mixes so that I can actually use it lest I have drooling birds wistfully dreaming about bird seed that they can see and smell in a bird feeder but can't reach. Or worse - trying to drill holes through my bird feeders! Recommend using a feeder with a simple internal structure with medium to large access ports.

Pantry Moth Larva NOT a Bonus
I like this mix. Birds like this mix. Pantry moths apparently LOVE this mix. Our last two bags were infested with webby stuff and little worm like larvae.
