This easel is exactly what I have been looking for. I was nervous to buy this one at first because there were no reviews, but I'm so glad I did. It's absolutely beautiful! It was very easy to put together without any issues, and fits perfectly into my little studio. As a watercolor painter, I needed an easel to lay flat at times, without a bunch of knobs to adjust. It's simple as far as function, which is what drew me to it. The height of your canvas can be easily adjusted as well as the tilting level on the side.I took a few pictures outside so you can also see how beautiful the woodgrain and details to craftsmenship are. As a professional artist, I highly recommended this easel.

Last Update: The easel is still out-of-square, but the seller stepped up and offered a partial refund. It's very heavy and would cost alot to dismantle and ship back for a full refund. It was my decision to keep the easel as I really think it's quite beautiful (5 stars pretty). I will figure out some way to square up the device before using it. Note to all buyers: With only 30 days to return, it's important to address these kinds of issues immediately. Thanks to the seller, it was.Update: Seller got back to me on and decided it wasn't defective and isn't going to do anything to help. Originally I gave this easel 3 stars, now it's been lowered to 1. This is on me for not researching the seller thoroughly before purchase. Lesson learned.Original review: Heavy, but easily managed to put together by myself. It's a very nice piece of furniture. However, it's defective. Waiting to hear back from seller to see what they can do to help. I don't want to return it because I really do love it, but how can one do a proper painting without being able to square the canvas?

I was looking for a studio easel at the local stores, but couldn't find any one I like. This is the one as I expected, and the flat position is the plus. Very convenient and good quality.

I've got the brown and love the look so much. It's very tall and can be a statement of your painting room. I don't really like their logo is there in the middle and that one part is a bit wiggly which was disappointing for the money I paid for. I hate that part. I could sand or do something about it but haven't done anything yet. Other than that, It is great. It can tilt horizontally totally fine unless you are working on super large, heavy material for the painting panel.

The media could not be loaded. So far so good! There’s a Timelapse up there you can see how sturdy it s! I’m amazed at the size it can handle! Here’s my pics of my recent start to a landscape series (my first painting on this easel!) and an abstract painting I “tested” it’s strength with — that is 4ftx5ft!!!Absolutely love the fact you can adjust it horizontally which helps me in both the varnishing and drawing process.After 28 years my old easel was hard to say goodbye too— but this is so well made, solid, and sturdy! I’m a 39, 5ft lady and I was able to put this together by myself! Well worth it. No regrets!
