The media could not be loaded. Better than I expected, even given the good reviews, I was still a bit sceptical, especially as it's so compact. Very easy to set up, bluetooth connected to my phone in a few seconds and I was playing streamed music straight away. I don't bother with the FM radio, as I use the radio apps on my phone via Bluetooth. CD player works well, the EQ settings adjust the bass/treble balance to suit what you're listening to. I use flat mostly. CD player sounds good too. I connected my decent Sony headphones and not disappointed. Shane the headphone socket is at the back though. I assume it's low price is because it doesn't have DAB radio but I use apps if I want to listen to the radio anyway. Volume isn't great but enough for a medium sized room as long as you don't want to blast it out, plus side is that you get good bass and full sound at a comfortable low volume, which us exactly what I wanted. Looks more expensive than it was

Cd player did not work!! Then system crashed!! Started a return. Bought from a reputable manufacturer instead….

For £80, this is a great unit. Admittedly, I would have liked "Sleep" mode. That is why I have included a photo of the hand set.I like bass. I love Rock. I love Ambient.Set up to existing speakers was done in moments.Connection to my Samsung Galaxy took just seconds.Music trialled: EQ set to ROCK:LED ZEPPELIN - IN THROUGH THE OUT DOOR 2014 deluxe. WHEN THE LEVEE BREAKS, 2014.Played from the Android at 320k the sound was very good.Harold Budd/ John Foxx tracks played at Volume 1... This mode will be played prior to sleep... that is where the timer mode would have been helpful.The BEATLES: tracks off the Red & Blue albums 2023 played off MP3 FLAC cd... I wasn't expecting much... OMG... Paul's bass on the opening LOVE ME DO is awesome! Even on eq Flat, HEY BULLDOG is rich and pounding.Volume goes from 0 to 32. Volume 1 will be perfect for bedtime Ambient... Brian Eno will be on later.Volume 6 is a sensible level for the BEATLES.Volume 30+ for Metal when the wife is out, lol.As I mentioned earlier, I am NOT using the proper speakers. I am using 2 way Sony speakers, just a little larger that the Hanlim set. This may influence the sound.Remote Control: Volume, track selection... press and hold to move through larger areas or single presses to jump small amounts.The Amazon pictures and video show you what will be received but I included a close up of the RC.The unit lives in my spare bedroom and will be used daily. I am very happy with the sound quality and the volume is more than adequate. Quiet is very quiet, loud is more than enough in a bedroom.

Absolutely lovely little unit. Very powerful speakers. Good tone. I use for CDs. Not tried any of the Bluetooth etc as not tech savvy. Radio is good. Very easy to use. Good display.would recommend.

Excellent piece of mini hi fi . Terrific value. Very easy to operate and the sound for such a bargain price is better than I expected. I bought it to go on a shelf in the kitchen. I like music when I am cooking and doing other chores. Radio seems fine, but I like it for playing CDs and it’s very good for that. Volume strong and handset works fine..

Paying a relatively low price for this mini hifi I didn't expect much from it. How wrong was I. We have owned it now for just under 2 weeks and we have put it at the top of a book case. The hifi and speakers have a smart modern look and the sound is excellent for its size. It's output is almost too powerful and we often find ourselves turning it down to volume setting 1 or 2 when we just want a little background music When you want it to crank it up and dance round the living room 15 - 20 is more than enough. There is plenty of base and treble to be heard. There are enough variation across the 6 sound presets for everything we have listened to so far. In fact, we listen to it every day and are slowly working our way through our extensive CD collection. A collection that hasn't been played for several years. The CD player copes with the occasional scratch or fingerprint without jumping. Bluetooth connectivity is excellent and we had no difficulty getting it connected to an android phone. The ability to skip tracks or fast forward/rewind them with the remote control is very useful. We haven't used its FM radio because the signal here isn't strong enough. That brings me to the only downfall I have found with the hifi. That is the absence of a socket for an external FM ariel which might get us a signal. The remote control is compact but eassy to understand and use. It has all the functions it needs.In summary, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this little hifi. It is loud enough to fill a large room if need be and produces a nice tone from CDs and devices attached to it via Bluetooth. It also has a line-in and USB socket as well.
