Was what I was looking for.
While this is described as a quilting product I am using it for delicate hobby work. So far, it has been perfect for my needs. It gives me a smooth surface for delicate work on model train projects.

Great for Building Models
I absolutely love using these on my hobby room desks for building model planes, ships, tanks. Great variety of sizes to fit any workspace. I use some 2-way tape on the back to help keep them in place even better since I tend to lean on them quite a bit. Material is very strong and the measurements really come in handy when needing to cut out decals or odd shapes for masking tape.

Great Mat
Mat is flat and works great.

Slimy packaging
I ordered 2 of the mats in different colors. The green one seems fine but the pink one had moisture and white slime inside the packaging. Very gross and I hope it is not something toxic. It washed off so I am keeping. The mats themselves are thicker and less flexible than name brand mats. I like the markings and they should work fine for classes using rotary cutters.

The best mat I've owned
Perfect mat for quilters. Inches on both sides. My old one had cm on the back and it was totally useless for sewing so I had to downgrade it to crafts once the inches side was worn out.Bold lines every 5 inches made it a piece of cake to see where I needed to cut without counting. I just cut a whole bunch of quilt blocks in half the time it used to take me.Very well thought out mat.

Excellent!
I currently have this mat on my dining table where it's a great height for cutting sewing patterns. It's really good and is self healing. It's two-sided so should last a long time - longer than me! It seems expensive but for what it is, I think it's good value. Highly recommended by me
