These have a pleasant smell and do the job getting us away from the bugs.

we love lighting these in the backyard. they seem to keep the louisiana summer mosquitos at bay. worth every penny!

These work great for keeping mosquitoes away but do absolutely nothing in repelling flies. Nice scents, though, but a little pricey. If they kept both flies and mosquitoes away they would definitely be worth their money but since they don't work for flies, I'll buy other, cheaper, mosquito repelling incense that works just as well.

Difficult to ignite but scent is very strong. CAUTION: I lit and put the incense stick directly into the soil in a potted plant that hadn’t been watered for a while on my front porch. Even after the incense stick was no longer visible it continued to burn beneath the soil’s surface.It heated the entire layer of soil beneath the top soil in the pot and I literally had to stop the burning beneath the surface with a water hose to make sure it was wet enough to stop it from continuing to burn.My advice is to PLEASE use the included incense holder and DO NOT leave it unattended while burning unless you put it in a bowl of water

I would have far preferred to have the option of being able to buy the incense sticks *without* the 'artisanal' holders. Now that the package has arrived, I am doubly annoyed by this: one so-called 'holder' is twice the size of the other and has *2* holes in it; the other isn't heavy enough to stand up by itself - and, please note, these sticks are *heavy* - and has NO hole in it at all; so I've basically paid for a lump of rock I didn't want in the first place, moreover a lump of rock that is totally useless for its stated purpose. NOT happy.
