Easy to Install worked out great! No more slamming gate

Easy to install and the tailgate doesn’t slam down

Instructions are confusing however I figured it out. I thought it didn't fit my truck however I was incorrect. It fits fine on my 2018 dodge 2500. The top side installs easily. The bottom side or tailgate connection goes in an empty hole that is close to the tailgate pivot point. Slide in the insert and use a wrench and allen wrench to crush the insert. (Kinda like a sheet rock anchor). Then remove the bolt from the crushed insert and screw in the lower ball joint. Connect piston and you're done. 5 minutes, works well. Time will tell how well it holds up.

Works like it should, the only thing the instructions don't tell you is that you have to put on the plastic sleeve that comes with it right where the cable that connects the tailgate to the truck bends. I suggest using a couple of small zip ties to hold it in place. If you don't, the tailgate won't close.

I like the product. It was easy to install except for the shock!! I had to use a mallet to hit it on the round balls. Once I did that it works 👍. I recommend it to truck owners. Opens softly.

It took roughly 10 minutes with the right tools listed in the instructions to install, and works like a charm! Nice quick improvement and the business emailed me with instructions which was an unexpected surprise!
