Even though it’s advertised as nearly blackout, it was completely blackout for me. I microwaved the two eye cups on a plate for 30 seconds and it was able to retain the heat for close to 10 minutes. The mask did a great job of covering my eyes and applying hot compress, and created a blackout experience. It’s very comfortable on the face and I look forward to using it at home for hot compress and on travel for blackout eye mask.The mask came with a mesh zipper pouch to carry it, which includes a small pocket inside the mesh pouch to carry earplugs.

I got this because I am prone to chalazions and clogged oil ducts on my eyes. I got this mask because it heats up and contours the eyes. This mask isn't necessarily cheap, but it's been well worth my money. Other masks don't contour the eye so it feels like the heat doesn't actually get right in your eye socket, but this one continues the eye in a great way. It also has extreme blackout which isn't what I need it for, but I've been impressed with how dark it really is under there! It comes with a nice holding pouch and even ear plugs. It's helped my clogged oil ducts so much, so I use it every day now! Love this product. If you need something for chalazions or just a warm good eye mask, this is worth the money!

Bought this to black out the light from our security cameras that are on 24/7.Wow!!! They block 100% of the light. They also have the interchangeable pads that I can put in the microwave to warm up. What a lifesaver when I get a migraine. No pressure from the pads on my eyes. Love, love, love this. Would highly recommend.

I bought this mask to help my dry eye and maybe to wear it at night. I was a little concerned because the pads looked so big in the picture of the woman holding them in her hand, but foolishly thought they couldn't possible be that big. Well, the picture didn't lie, they are indeed that big. They are also heavy. So instead of the heat going over my eye area, it hit my forehead, cheeks and nose, and basically covered half of my face. And the weight gave me a headache. I know a bunch of other reviews thought it was great, but it doesn't work for me.

My wife loves this steam mask product for dry eye relief. It's a great design because of the cupped shape, they don't squish your eyelids. The 2 eye pieces (we call them eye biscuits, haha) are easy to microwave and then slap onto the headpiece with the smart velcro design. Using them once or twice a day for a few minutes helps a lot with relief from dry eye symptoms. I highly recommend it!

I have another heat mask that I’ve been using but wanted to try this one because it doesn’t put pressure on the eye. I only put it in for 25 seconds, not even the recommended 30 seconds, and the skin around my eye remains red hours later! It doesn’t steam like my other mask so it didn’t help my dry eyes. All of the heat is around the perimeter.

I recently transitioned from teaching yoga and freelance writing to working fulltime at FB. On top of this I spend lots of time on my computer for my hobby — learning languages — and needless to say my eyes hurt. I've tried everything and some things have helped such as eye drops, eye exercises, and basic rest. But the problem persists.This mask is top notch! I feel true relief when I use it in combination with other parts of my eye care routine. I also purchased the cold inserts (you can buy them separately) to alternate between cold and heat depending on your mood, the weather, whatever.Make sure you stick to the instructions and only heat the pads up for 30 seconds. Move the beads around (hot or cold) and feel free to press them into the area where you need it most (not your eyeballs of course)— in my case the inner corner of my eye/bridge of nose area.I get nothing for this review. I'm just stoked about this product and there so many to choose from....

I bought this Manta steam mask because my ophthalmologist had recommended I put regular heat on my eyes to keep my oil ducts working.(I had found using a wash cloth with warm water was too messy, and microwaving rice in a tube of fabric seemed absurd.)This mask is amazing! Easy to use and so comfortable. The directions say to only leave it on for 3-5 minutes but I would have been happy to leave it on for longer.The mask is easy to affix to the microwaveable discs that cover your eyes. The discs are soft and don’t press on your eyeball at all.I’m so grateful I found this product.

I wouldn’t say blackout as light shines around, only should be a problem for the most sensitive of optical sleepers. It works for me and is quite comfortable to lay on the back and acceptable on the side. I get dry eyes after laser eye surgery, so the Ophthalmologist recommends a hot towel compress and this is exponentially more convenient, fulfilling that purpose. Just a bit of false advertising to say blackout, and I’m not convinced of the longevity of the Velcro eye cup fasteners.

Silly that eye cover is round and me eyes aint round. Not comfortable at all.
