It helped her understand more about nature and why we need to protect trees. We read the book over and over again, and I was glad that she asked so many questions. I think stories like this one also contribute to a healthy mindset for the future, not to mention it has a great educational value. The author has included some of the most common trees, teaching kids how to recognize them. Moreover, she has added a lot of interesting facts, making it easy for both parents and teachers to use her story as a teaching resource.Reading this book to my daughter, I noticed the beautiful lines, and how the author’s love for nature shined throughout the story. She places an emphasis on the connection with nature, the individuality of each season, and how getting in touch with nature can help us feel calmer and more relaxed.Children can learn about trees and how they produce oxygen. At the same time, they are taught to relate to the breathing process, and discover for themselves the benefits it offers. Climate awareness is explored, and I liked how the author said it is “not too late to fix it”. I agree, it all depends on the generation we are raising now.She also speaks of how trees offer us nuts, fruits, and wood; how we can have fun with trees and spot the wildlife living around them. Kids can learn how long trees live and even discover interesting stories about them, stories that happened years ago. At the end of the book, there are some cool worksheets, which I am sure kids will love.As a parent, I am always on the lookout for books that can help me teach my daughter about the world. I absolutely loved this book, not only because I was able to bring her closer to nature and trees, but also because beautiful stories allow us, parents, to create a stronger bond with our children. Highly recommended!

What a magical picture book. This was a good rhyming, educational book for kids. I like how the author approaches the practical and beneficial side of trees. We loved it!

A story about the importance of trees and how we should take care of them just as they take care of us. A jolly good read with an important message to help our environment. Sometimes you just need a cute book with vibrant vocabulary and colourful illustrations to remind you about the important things in life, like our trees and their significance to our health and growth. I loved the inclusion of Charles II (shows both historical relevance and the various uses of trees). It's a wonderful educational read that I would recommend for young minds.

This series is well done and amazing. I love the mood of the artwork and colors. It always presents us the greatness of the theme in this case TREES then shows us how we can be dangerous to nature. But always ends in a higher note with: What can we do to help and save. Let's all do our part.

What an EXCELLENT book for children from 1 to 301... and BEYOND! The meter and rhyme are so Spot On that I enjoyed myself from the Very Instant when I opened this lovely book full of Color, Character, Advice, Charm and so Many other descriptions. I look forward to reading More of this author's works, as I can see a future of teaching in this Most DELIGHTFUL and Pleasant way. Oh, that ALL Writers could capture a voice that Entertains First, while Subtly planting Leaves of Knowledge. Our world is a Much Better place for having Anna Smithers in our lives.

This is an excellent book about the importance of trees. It describes what all trees do for us - give us fruit and other yummy things to eat, wood for making things like houses and swings, provide stories of the past and magic. The story also teaches children to take care of tree and to plant some too. It is written in rhyme and nicely flows from beginning to end. The story has a sweet, kind tone to it.

Lovely pictures but also engaging information that can enhance a love and respect for trees.

The trees do lots of things to us more than we ever imagined and we don’t treat them with love. What a shame to all the folks practicing deforestation.

With its stunning illustrations and beautiful rhyming verse, this book is not only gorgeous but also educational. I'm sure children of all ages will love this book, as mine did. Highly recommended!
